    摘要: An oil seal protector for rotary engines is provided to prevent deleterious combustion gases from damaging the oil sealing assemblies provided on each side of the engine rotor. The sealing assemblies include an O-ring and the protective device comprises annular grooves which extend completely about the sealing assembly on each side of the rotor and which are located radially outwardly from such sealing assemblies. A seal ring is fitted within each of the annular grooves of the protective device and spring means are provided for urging the ring against the sides of the engine housing.

    摘要: A control circuit can be provided with a comparator detecting a turning-off of a semiconductor switch from a voltage generated in an auxiliary winding of a transformer and inputted to a zero current detecting terminal, a timer outputting a signal after a specified length of time from the time at which the turning-off of the semiconductor switch is detected, and a comparator detecting from voltages inputted to a current detecting terminal a second voltage signal different from an ordinary first voltage signal inputted when the semiconductor switch is made turned-on. Thus, the second voltage signal supplied from mode switching circuits as an externally inputted mode switching signal can be made also detected by the existing current detecting terminal. By detecting the second voltage signal after the specified length of time from the turning-off of the semiconductor switch, switching of an operation mode becomes possible without newly providing any specialized terminal.

    摘要: An assist grip includes hinges, spring cases, and coil springs. The hinges are provided with a rotary axis that a shaft-shaped protrusion and a pin make. The shaft-shaped protrusion is formed integrally with the hinges. The pin is formed independently of the hinges. The spring cases are held in a depression with which the hinges are provided, respectively. The coil springs urge the hinges by way of the spring cases in a direction for accommodating the hinges into hinge-holding depressions with which the assist grip is provided. The setup enables the resulting assist grip to offer better assemblage workability for assembly workers or robots, to show a better appearance, and to exhibit higher strength in service.

    摘要: An assist grip of the present invention includes a grip body provided at both side base portions thereof with hinge recess portions and a hinge portion rotatably and pivotally supported in each of the hinge recess portions of both sides, and is fixed via the hinge portion to a to-be-fixed portion in an automobile. In a pivot support portion of the hinge portion, an outer support piece and an inner support piece are provided at a distance from each other, and between the inner support piece and the outer support piece, a torsion coil spring stored in a spring case is inserted. One end portion of the torsion coil spring is locked to an inside of the spring case, and the other end portion of the torsion coil spring projects from the spring case and is locked to a part of the grip body.

    摘要: The present invention provides precise temperature estimation in a heat treatment apparatus that estimates temperatures of process objects by using a thermal model and performs a heat treatment while performing a temperature control based on the estimated temperatures. The heat treatment apparatus (1) includes a processing vessel (11) accommodating plural wafers W, plural heaters (31 to 33) and plural temperature sensors (S1 to S5), and stores the thermal model. The heat treatment apparatus 1 estimates temperatures of the wafers W based on outputs of the temperature sensors (S1 to S5) by using the thermal model and controls the heaters (31 to 33) based on the estimated temperatures, applying a heat treatment to the wafers W. The thermal model for an individual apparatus is made by calibrating a standard thermal model designed for a standard apparatus. The standard model calibration is performed by heating an interior of the processing vessel (11), measuring the temperatures of the wafers W in the processing vessel (11), estimating the temperatures of the wafers W by using the thermal model, comparing the measured temperature and the estimated temperature, and calibrating the standard thermal model so that the measured temperature substantially coincides with the estimated temperature.

    摘要: An oil seal assembly is provided for a rotary engine in which an annular groove is formed in the side of the engine rotor with an oil seal ring being fitted within said annular groove. The oil seal ring is pressed against the side wall of the engine housing by annular spring means, and detent means are inserted between the ends of the annular spring means, the detent means being engaged in recesses carved in the innermost wall of the oil seal ring and in the bottom wall of the annular groove of the rotor to restrain relative motion therebetween during rotation of the rotor.

    摘要: Compositions and methods are provided for enhancing the survival and promoting the maturation of mammalian oocytes, zygotes and preimplantation embryos. BDNF or BDNF agonists may be administered to an individual, or to cells in vitro, to enhance cellular maturation, embryo growth and fertilization. Accordingly, compositions comprising BDNF are herein presented for use in promoting in vivo oocyte maturation as well as for use as a component in culture media for promoting preimplantation maturation of zygotes and embryos, for instance, for use with in vitro fertilization procedures and for the production of stem cells. Additionally, compounds that interfere with the binding of BDNF to its receptor may be administered to an individual to prevent oocyte maturation, thereby acting as a contraceptive. The BNDF receptor, TrkB, and BDNF also find use in the screening and design of agonists and antagonists for use in the methods of the invention.
