摘要: In an inkjet printing apparatus which performs printing on a printing medium using an inkjet printhead for discharging ink, preliminary discharge, where ink discharge irrespective of printing is performed at the time of print execution, is performed under a predetermined condition. The printing apparatus includes a control section and a setting section. The control section executes a preliminary discharge by the printhead, which has a plurality of discharge orifices, before a predetermined time has elapsed since a latest preliminary discharge, in printing of an image, and the setting section sets the predetermined time. The setting section obtains an elapsed time after executing the preliminary discharge until a discharge failure occurs in any one of the plurality of discharge orifices, and sets the elapsed time as the predetermined time.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a printing apparatus and a printing method even with a variation in the temperature of a print head, thus keeping the quality of images resulting from printing high. Adjustment patterns used to adjust the difference in ink ejection timing between ink ejected in a forward direction and ink ejected in a backward direction during scanning are printed at a plurality of different temperatures. Adjustment values for the ink ejection timing at the respective temperatures are selected from the adjustment patterns. Then, the correction value for the ink ejection timing is calculated from the adjustment values based on the temperature detected by the detection device. Printing is then performed with the difference in ink ejection timing between the ink ejected in the forward direction and the ink ejected in the backward direction during scanning, adjusted based on the correction value.

摘要: A hinge includes first hinge connectors having first shaft holes drilled and which are disposed at a rear of a synthetic resin case body that may contain a cosmetic material; a second hinge connector having a second shaft hole drilled and which is disposed at a rear of a synthetic resin lid that opens or closes with respect to the case body. The hinge also includes synthetic resin hinge shafts inserted through the first shaft holes, the second shaft hole, and two protruded fitting parts with a shape of a short cylinder disposed so as to project from end faces of the first hinge connectors and come in abutment with two U-shaped, recessed fitting parts disposed on end faces of the second hinge connector. The recessed fitting parts have an opening to a front side the lid, the opening having a width substantially equal to a diameter of the protruded fitting parts, the recessed fitting parts having a center of curvature that corresponds to a center of the second shaft hole and have a radius of curvature of substantially the same radius of curvature the protruded fitting parts. The hinge prevents shearing forces from acting on the hinge shafts and protects the hinge shafts against shearing fracture.

摘要: This invention decreases deformation of a plastic substrate caused by thermal expansion and contraction in an evaporation process of forming a multi-layered film of an ND filter, thus arising of wrinkles is prevented. The plastic substrate serving as the base of the ND filter is made of a polyimide-based plastic material having a glass transition temperature of 200° C. or more, and has a total transmittance of light of 90% or more and has a haze factor, which represents the haze of 0.5% or less. As the multi-layered film, Al2O3 films for reduction of the reflectance and TiOx films for reduction of the transmittance are alternately formed on the substrate. An MgF2 film made of a low-refraction material is formed as the uppermost layer to further reduce the reflection. In the evaporation process, even when the temperature of the plastic substrate reaches almost 200° C., the sufficiently high glass transition temperature of the plastic material can suppress arising of wrinkles on that portion of the plastic substrate where the multi-layered film is formed.

摘要: An azimuth meter using spin-valve giant magneto-resistive elements, which is simple in manufacturing process, can be made compact in size and contribute to power saving, is disclosed. The azimuth meter comprises a quadrilateral plane coil having two pairs of parallel opposed sides and four spin-valve giant magneto-resistive element pairs, each pair of the elements disposed on a plane parallel to the coil. The longitudinal directions of two elements of each pair orthogonally cross each other, and cross only a respective side or only the same side of a pair of the opposed sides of the plane coil at substantially 45 degrees. The pinned layer of one of the two elements is magnetized in its longitudinal direction, and that of the other element is magnetized in the same direction as the pinned layer of that one element. The paired elements are connected to each other at one end. While a voltage for measurement is being applied between the other ends, a midpoint potential is taken out of the ends of the elements connected to each other to determine an azimuth.

摘要: In consideration of that burning a PVC-based tape causes occurrence of dioxine, a nonhalogenated tape having physical properties and electric properties, which are comparable to a PVC-based tacking tape, and replaceable to the PVC-based tacking tape is desired. Simple replacement of PVC to a polyethylene-based synthetic resin causes a bad hand cutting performance. Hence, the composition of the synthetic resin composition is improved to have 100 weight parts of a polypropylene-based resin, 1 to 70 weight parts of a polyethylene-based resin, 1 to 200 weight parts of an inorganic filler with a range from 0.5 μm to 10 μm of an average grain size, and 0.1 to 50 weight parts of an compatibilizer to form a film. In addition, the film is drawn 1.05 to 3 times in an MD and thickness of the film is kept to 0.03 to 0.5 mm.
