Abstract:
A sheet processing apparatus includes a puncher disposed to make a hole in a sheet to be conveyed, a moving mechanism configured to move the puncher in the orthogonal direction to a conveyance path of the sheet, a sensor to detect a forward edge and a rear edge of the sheet conveyed into the puncher, and a controller configured to control the conveyance of the sheet and an operation of the puncher. The controller decelerates the sheet from a first conveying speed to a second conveying speed after the sensor detects the forward edge of the sheet, and stops the conveying of the sheet after the sensor detects the rear edge of the sheet, and executes a punching to the sheet.
Abstract:
There is provided a technique in which a retracting operation of a bundle of sheets from a stapler after a staple process can be stably performed irrespective of the number of sheets constituting the bundle of sheets or the transport resistance. When the bundle of sheets subjected to the staple process is moved by a stacker in a direction of retracting from the stapler, an alignment roller is caused to come in contact with the bundle of sheets held by the stacker and to assist the movement of the bundle of sheet.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, a erasing apparatus includes: a paper feeding section configured to feed a recording medium on which a erasable image is recorded to a conveying path; a conveying section configured to convey the recording medium along the conveying path; a erasing section configured to erase a color of the image on the recording medium; a sensor configured to detect the recording medium conveyed through the erasing section by the conveying section; and a control section configured to perform, if the sensor detects occurrence of a jam of the recording medium, control to convey the recording medium present in the conveying path.
Abstract:
A sheet folding apparatus includes: a saddle-stitching unit configured to stitch a center of a sheet bundle; a folding unit configured to fold the sheet bundle at the center to form a fold; a loading base onto which the sheet bundle conveyed from the folding unit is loaded; a nipping plate configured to be pressed to and separated from the loading base in parallel to the loading base and to nip the sheet bundle loaded onto the loading base; and first and second rollers that move along a direction of the fold while nipping and pressing the fold of the sheet bundle nipped by the nipping plate to reinforce the fold. Here, a surface, which faces the loading base, of the nipping plate is provided with an elastic member.

Abstract:
There is provided a technique in which in a sheet processing apparatus including a switchback portion in a sheet transport path, a contribution can be made to the improvement of maintenance in the case where a sheet jam occurs in the vicinity of a switchback position. In a sheet processing method of a sheet processing apparatus for performing a specified process to a sheet, the sheet processing apparatus includes a first sheet transport path for transporting the sheet, and a second sheet transport path that is for performing switchback transport of the sheet transported in the first sheet transport path and includes at least one of a hole, a projection and a recess in the vicinity of a meeting position between the second sheet transport path and the first sheet transport path, and the first sheet transport path and the second sheet transport path are enabled to be integrally pulled out to the outside of the sheet processing apparatus.
Abstract:
An erasing device includes an image erasing portion that erases an erasable image which is printed on a sheet using an erasable color material, a reusability determination portion that determines whether or not to reuse the sheet obtained by erasing the erasable image by the image erasing portion; a sorting carrying portion that carries the determined sheets to a carrying destination for reusable sheets and a carrying destination for non-reusable sheets according to the determination result from the reusability determination portion; a common sheet cassette that can be used in an image forming apparatus and detachably installed in the carrying destination for reusable sheets, and that stacks and contains the sheets from the sorting carrying portion therein; a storage medium that is installed in the common sheet cassette; and a communication portion that stores information regarding the sheets contained in the common sheet cassette in the storage medium.
Abstract:
According to one embodiment, an erasing apparatus includes: a recording medium sorting apparatus including a first conveyance guide having a curvature radius smaller than curvature radiuses of all curved surfaces present in a downstream direction in a recording medium conveying path, a second conveyance guide forming the recording medium conveying path in conjunction with the first conveyance guide and set to be capable of opening and closing the recording medium conveying path, and a displacing device configured to open and close the second conveyance guide; and a control unit. If the control unit determines that a jam occurs in the recording medium sorting apparatus, the control unit opens the second conveyance guide to collect a recording medium that causes the jam.
Abstract:
An image erasing apparatus includes a sheet stacking tray, a first sheet feeding roller, a pair of separation rollers, a pair of second sheet feeding rollers, a carrying detection sensor, a sheet carrying device, a heating device, and a stacking device. The pair of the separation rollers is provided downstream of the first sheet feeding roller configured to take in sheets from the sheet stacking tray and separates the sheets. The pair of the second sheet feeding rollers is provided downstream of the pair of the separation rollers and carries the sheets in the sheet carrying direction. The carrying detection sensor is provided in the vicinity of the pair of the second sheet feeding rollers and detects passing of the sheets. The heating device erases images formed on the sheets by heating the sheets to or above a color erasing temperature of a developer. Upon detection of double feeding of the sheets on the basis of an output of the carrying detection sensor, the control device rotationally drives one of the pair of the separation rollers in the sheet carrying direction and the other in a direction opposite to the sheet carrying direction by a certain distance.
