摘要: A method for manufacturing a transistor assembly includes the steps of: (a) forming a transistor; (b) polishing a base substrate; and (c) securing the transistor of which the base substrate is polished to a support substrate. The step (a) is a step of forming a first semiconductor layer and a second semiconductor layer on a principle surface of the base substrate. The step (b) is a step of polishing a surface of the base substrate opposite to the principle surface. The step (c) is a step of securing the transistor on the support substrate in the presence of a stress applied on the base substrate in such a direction that a warp of the base substrate is reduced. The base substrate is made of a material different from that of the first semiconductor layer and the second semiconductor layer, and a tensile stress is applied on the second semiconductor layer.

摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus for producing water having redox activity. In the apparatus, at least one of oxygen, ozone, chlorine, nitrogen monoxide, and ammonia as a reaction precursor is previously mixed into water or running water while regulating the concentration of the dissolved substance followed by the application of ultrasonic vibrations, whereby active oxygen species are generated in water. In another embodiment, water or running water is brought into contact with a catalyst to which ultrasonic vibrations or electromagnetic waves have been applied, whereby active oxygen species are generated in water.

Each the light emitting units is composed of an LED chip and a phosphor. The LED chip is configured to generate light. 摘要: A digital map data processing system is described that improves the appearance of a map without increasing the labor in automatic generation of road polygons required for generation of map data. The digital map data processing system reads network data, which expresses multiple roads by nodes and links, and generates polygon data including road polygons by processing the network data. The road polygon generation process includes generation of rectangular polygons of specified widths about respective links, generation of edge lines around polygons, and elimination of unnecessary edge lines. The digital map data processing system selectively applies a suitable terminal processing technique to specify terminal geometry of each object polygon, based on connection with each connection polygon and geometries and attributes of the object polygon and the connection polygon. This desirably improves the appearance at a connection of adjacent polygons.

摘要: A laser surface treatment for reducing reflection loss on the surface of an optical material is provided. A metal film is formed on the surface of the optical material, and then the metal film is removed from the optical material by irradiation of an ultra-intense short-pulse laser beam having a pulse width of 1 femtosecond to 100 picoseconds, so that a fine periodic structure is formed on the surface of the optical material exposed by the removal of the metal film. The obtained fine periodic structure has asperities with a periodic interval of preferably 50 to 1000 nm, which can be controlled by changing the laser energy density.
