Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of, and a device for delivering a predetermined (1) volume of beverage into a thermoplastic container formed from a heated preform, the preform being positioned in a mold, characterized in that the method includes a step of injecting at least some beverage into a recess in the preform so as to promote expansion of the preform inside the mold, the mold defining the shape of the container, a longitudinal displacement of a stretch rod (10) carried out during a given period ensuring longitudinal elongation of the heated preform, the stretch rod being immobile at the end of the given period, and a volume of beverage greater than a predefined fraction of the predetermined volume, preferably equal to 50%, being present in the recess at said end of the given period.
Abstract:
A process for the manufacturing and filling of plastic containers, said process comprising the steps of: a. positioning a preform (1) with relation to a mold assembly of two or more components (20, 21, 22), said preform generally being fabricated from a plastic and being provided with a longitudinal axis (17) and presenting a stretchable portion (13) and a non-stretchable portion (11); b. stretching said preform along its longitudinal axis (17); c. injecting a fluid (29) into the interior volume (6) of the preform (1), said fluid (29) being under such pressure as to cause the preform (1) to plastically deform until achieving the desired size and shape; and d. releasing said container from the mold assembly (20, 21, 22) and sealing the container, and in which at least a portion of the stretchable portion (13) of the perform (1) is at a temperature below its vitreous transition temperature (Tg) and, preferably, at ambient temperatures.
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a water fountain (1) for in-home delivery of drinkable water, said fountain comprising a combination of at least: (i) a source (2), preferably a renewable source, of drinkable water, with (ii) a stock of packages (24), with (iii) filling means (29, 31, 32, 34, 35) for filling at least one package (3) with drinkable water, with (iv) sealing means (38) for sealing individual filled packages (3) before delivery to the consumer.

Abstract:
The invention relates to a secondary package for gathering a plurality of primary packages, comprising an envelope that surrounds the plurality of primary packages so as to tightly hold the latter together. The secondary package also includes a base supporting the primary packages, lateral sides, and a top side, characterized in that: (i) said base comprises a medium folding line that pivotally connects two halves of the base supporting the primary packages, and the envelope further comprises a carrying handle that is disposed vertically along the medium folding line, and (ii) the lateral sides and the top side of the envelope comprise a transversal precut in the region of the medium folding line, and so that when the envelope is open along said precut, it still holds tightly the primary packages disposed on each of the two base halves and said halves can be pivoted around the medium folding line to allow complete access to the carrying handle.
Abstract:
The present invention provides a parking space guard comprising a base for anchoring the guard to a supporting surface and a blocker movable from a down access to an up blocking position. The base comprises a mounting plate with a pair of upstanding arms between which the blocker is pivotally and lockably secured and the arms are forwardly open for raising and lowering the blocker. The base further includes a forwardly extending channel in which the blocker lies when in the down position for lowering of the upper end of the blocker to ground level.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of and a device for delivering a predetermined volume of beverage into a thermoplastic container formed from a preform positioned in a mold having an opening opposite an injection head (18), characterized in that the method includes a prior step of exposing the preform to a sterilizing fluid supplied by a first circuit connected to the injection head (18) and a step of injecting, into a recess of the preform, at least some of the beverage supplied by a second circuit connected to the injection head (18) so as to promote expansion of the preform inside the mold, the mold defining the shape of the container.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a composite package (8) linked together into a single unit, and comprising a plurality of individual containers (1, 2, and 3) of varying shapes and/or volumes and being assembled according to different orientations in the composite package. In the composite package are defined strong and weak containers according to their mechanical resistances on which apply external loads. According to the invention, the strong containers are arranged in their orientation along the direction(s) of external loads placed upon the composite package thereby protecting the weakest ones.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method of delivering a predetermined volume of beverage into a thermoplastic container formed from a heated preform positioned in a mould, characterized in that the product includes a step of injecting at least some beverage into a recess in the preform so as to promote expansion of the preform inside the mould, the mould defining the shape of the container, a volume of beverage introduced during the injection step being at least equal to said predetermined volume, and, in addition, the method includes a step of sucking out a fraction of said volume of the beverage introduced until the volume of beverage remaining in the container is approximately equal to said predetermined volume.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for delivering a beverage into a thermoplastic container formed from a heated preform (110), the preform being approximately cylindrical and positioned in a mould, characterized in that it includes injection means for injecting at least one beverage into a recess in the preform so as to promote expansion of the preform inside the mould, the mould defining the shape of the container, said injection means comprising an injection head (18) designed to inject at least one beverage through a mouth of the recess, said injection head being integrated into the mould.
