    摘要： A protect layer transfer sheet of the present invention comprises a substrate, an untransferable release layer and a thermally transferable protect layer, the protect layer being disposed on at least one area of a surface of the substrate by the medium of the release layer. The untransferable release layer comprises at least a cross-linking resin having a chemical structure comprises at least a side chain A and a side chain B on a principle chain formed of a carbon chain, and cross-linking at least a part of the side chain A and the side chain B. Therefore, the adhesive strength between the substrate and the untransferable release layer can always be stronger than the adhesive strength between the untransferable release layer and the thermally transferable protect layer.

    摘要： A thermal transfer sheet is comprises a substrate sheet, a dye layer of at least one color, a white layer to cover an image-receiving portion of a receiving material after an image is formed therein, and if necessary, a transferable receptor layer to be transferred to the image-receiving portion of the receiving material before the formation of the image, those layers being alternately disposed side by side on a surface of the substrate sheet, wherein said white layer being capable of adhering to the image-receiving portion already provided with the image and being disposed on the substrate sheet via a peeling layer interposed therebetween. The white layer has a white screenability to provide excellent light diffusivity and light transmissivity for a background of the printed image. The white layer may be formed by applying a coating liquid containing an adhesive binder resin and a white pigment or a coating liquid containing a binder resin, an adhesive, and a white pigment on the peeling layer.

    摘要： Provided is two kind of thermal transfer sheets comprising a substrate and a white transfer layer, the white transfer layer being to be transferred onto an image-formed portion of an image-receiving sheet. In the one kind, white transfer layer includes a white ink layer containing a white pigment and/or a filler, and has a total light transmittance of 30 to 95% and a haze of 30 to 95% due to the white ink layer. In another kind, the white transfer layer includes a white ink layer and a peeling layer, the white ink layer containing a white pigment and/or a filler, the peeling layer laminated between the white ink layer and the substrate, and capable of causing a cohesive failure thereby converting into an irregular surface of a printed material through a transferring process. The present invention also provides printed materials by the using of the thermal transfer sheets described above and recording methods for producing of the printed materials. The printed material can be used as an electric-decorating display member.

    摘要： In order to enable stamping or writing with an aqueous ink on a print with a colorant image or the like formed thereon and, at the same time, to impart fastness properties, such as weather resistance, chemical resistance, and solvent resistance to the print, there are provided a thermal transfer film for a protective layer, which, upon transfer on a print, can form a protective layer having a water-absorptive property and the above fastness, and a print with a protective layer transferred from the above transfer film.The thermal transfer film for a protective layer basically comprises a heat-resistant substrate film and a thermally transferable protective layer laminated thereto. The thermally transferable protective layer is thermally separated from the substrate and laminated on a print with a colorant image.

    摘要： An image forming method using a thermal transfer, wherein a dye-receptive layer on a transfer film is transferred to a print sheet and then dye layers on a dye transfer film are superposed on the dye-receptive layer and subjected to an image forming operation of a thermal head so that an image is transferred to the dye-receptive layer. In order to transfer the dye-receptive layer to the print sheet uniformly to enable subsequent formation of an excellent dye image, the quantity of thermal energy being applied by the thermal head to the transfer film is decreased with elapse of time. This principle can also be used for transferring a protective layer to the print sheet on which a dye image has been formed.
