摘要: A single point bonding method used in individually bonding, for example, the leads of a pad of a chip to a pad of a circuit board, including the steps of forming a pressure scar at the free end of each lead by a bonding tool, catching the irregular portions of the thus made pressure scar by the end of the bonding tool so as to move the free end of the lead towards its fixed end and then bonding the lead to a corresponding pad.

摘要: A stored data protection apparatus for an electronic device has a CPU (20) and a volatile memory (21) controlled by the CPU for storing data therein. Both of the CPU and the volatile memory ace supplied power voltage from a main battery (22) in normal operation of the device. The volatile memory as supplied power voltage from a back-up battery (23) when the main battery is removed from the device. The apparatus has a switch (29) operable in first and second positions, taking the first position in the normal operation of the device, and being switched from the first position to the second position when the main battery is removed from the device, a circuit (44, 48) for inhibiting the CPU to access the volatile memory when the switch is in the second position, and a circuit (38, 34, 42, 43) for releasing the inhibition of the CPU by the inhibiting circuit when the switch is switched from the second position to the first position.

摘要: In a conveying apparatus (used in assembling for example, semiconductors), workpieces are conveyed and distributed to each one of a plurality of processing devices such as bonders via a single conveying line that is made up with a plurality of conveyors provided for each processing device. Sensors are used for checking the workpieces to control the conveyors so that workpieces are avoided from colliding with each other.

摘要: Water-absorbent resins having an average particle diameter of 100 to 600 .mu.m and a particle diameter distribution of 0.35 or less are prepared by polymerizing an aqueous solution of a water-soluble ethylenically unsaturated monomer, pulverizing and sieving the gel-like polymer so obtained, and crosslinking the surface of the polymer powder. In an alternative process, an aqueous solution of the monomer having a viscosity greater than 15 cps is dispersed in a hydrophobic organic solvent and polymerized to obtain a polymer powder, and the surface of the polymer powder is crosslinked.
