Abstract: A flexible secondary battery includes an electrode support; a sheet-type internal electrode wound helically outside of the electrode support; a sheet-type first solid electrolyte layer wound helically outside of the internal electrode; a sheet-type bipolar electrode wound helically outside of the first solid electrolyte layer; a sheet-type second solid electrolyte layer wound helically outside of the bipolar electrode; and a sheet-type external electrode wound helically outside of the second solid electrolyte layer, wherein each of the first and second solid electrolyte layers include an organic solid electrolyte, the internal electrode is provided with insulation coating portions at both longitudinal ends of one surface facing the first solid electrolyte layer, the external electrode is provided with insulation coating portions at both longitudinal ends of one surface facing the second solid electrolyte layer, and the bipolar electrode is provided with insulation coating portions at both longitudinal ends of both surfaces.

Abstract: A packaging for a flexible secondary battery improves the vapor barrier performance and flexibility of the flexible secondary battery. The packaging is in a shape of a tube that is wrapped around an outer surface of an electrode assembly, and includes a mechanical support layer; a reduced graphene oxide layer disposed on the mechanical support layer and including a plurality of reduced graphene oxide sheets; a heat shrink layer disposed on the reduced graphene oxide layer; and a sealant layer disposed on the heat shrink layer, wherein the plurality of reduced graphene oxide sheets in the reduced graphene oxide layer forms electrostatic interaction between adjacent sheets of the plurality of reduced graphene oxide sheets. A flexible secondary battery including the packaging is also provided.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a flexible battery includes the steps of: preparing an electrode current collector having a current collecting portion provided with at least one through-hole; carrying out electrospinning of electrode slurry including an electrode active material, a binder, a conductive material and a solvent on at least one surface of an edge of the current collecting portion and over the through-hole to form an electrode active material layer on at least one surface of the electrode current collector; and forming a battery provided with the electrode current collector having the electrode active material layer formed thereon as an electrode. A flexible battery obtained from the method is also provided.

Abstract: A cable type secondary battery includes an inner electrode support; and a sheet-like inner electrode-separation layer-outer electrode complex which is spirally wound around the outer side of the inner electrode support. The inner electrode-separation layer-outer electrode complex is formed such that an inner electrode, a separation layer, and an outer electrode are compressed integrally. According to one embodiment, an electrode and a separation layer are bonded integrally so that the separation layer in close contact with the electrode absorbs electrolyte so as to induce a uniform supply of the electrolyte to an outer electrode active material layer, thereby increasing the stability and performance of a cable type secondary battery. In addition, the cable type secondary battery has a sheet-like electrode, whereby the resistance of the cable type secondary battery is reduced and the performance of the battery may be improved.
