    Abstract: A battery apparatus may include: one or more battery cells; a fire-extinguishing agent, which includes a component, chemical or composition that has a combustion inhibiting or suppressing effect; a flame-resistant member having a limiting oxygen index that is higher than the oxygen concentration in the atmosphere; and a casing, which is made of a polymer and houses the battery cell(s), the fire-extinguishing agent, and the flame-resistant member. The fire-extinguishing agent may be interposed between the battery cell(s) and the casing. The flame-resistant member may be interposed between the fire-extinguishing agent and the casing.

The battery pack may include: an outer case; a battery cell; a circuit board; and a plurality of battery-side terminals. A first terminal of the plurality of battery-side terminals may include a clamp portion and a non-clamp portion. The clamp portion may be configured to receive a device-side terminal of the plurality of device-side terminals and clamp the device-side terminal from both sides. An inner surface of the clamp portion may be plated with a first metal. A part of a surface of the non-clamp portion may not be plated with the first metal.     Abstract: A female and male connecting structure is provided between a battery pack and a tool main body such that the battery is slidably attached and electrically connected to the tool main body. The female and male connecting structure includes male terminals provided on the tool main body and female terminals provided on the battery pack. A level difference is formed by a concave portion on a sliding surface of terminal portions of the male terminal in a thickness direction of the plate-shaped male terminal. The level difference is made at a plurality of positions to form concavo-convex portions. The sliding surface corresponds to an area with which a contact point of the female terminal comes into sliding contact, and oxidized films formed on the surfaces of the terminal portions can be removed and/or scraped by the concavo-convex portions.
