    Abstract: A method of wireless communication of a UE is provided. The UE determines a first value of one or more parameters indicating a reception condition of a channel from a base station. The UE determines to adjust channel state information (CSI) reporting based on the first value. The UE transmits UE-assisted information to the base station, and the UE-assisted information includes the one or more parameters or an indication of an adjusted reporting schedule of the CSI reporting. Alternatively, the UE refrains from transmitting a CSI report scheduled in accordance with an existing reporting schedule of the CSI reporting.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for narrow band power saving framework. In one novel aspect, the UE configured with multiple BWPs is configured with a plurality of UE states each associated with one or more configured BWP, and transitions to or from a power-saving state upon detecting one or more transitioning conditions. In one embodiment, the UE transitions to and from the power-saving state upon detecting a switching signal. In another novel aspect, the UE with multiple BWPs is further configured with a leader BWP set for a leader cell, and one or more sets of follower BWP sets for corresponding follower cells of the UE, bundles each leader cell UE state with corresponding follower UE state for each follower cell, and transitions from a corresponding follower cell power saving state automatically for the one or more follower cells upon the leader cell UE state transition.

    Abstract: Apparatus and methods are provided for configured PUSCH opportunities with activation. In one novel aspect, a plurality of PUSCH opportunities and one or more activation opportunities are configured. The UE triggers one or more PUSCH opportunities for UL data transmission using an activation signal transmitted at one of the configured activation opportunities and transmits UL data on one or more PUSCH resources configured by the PUSCH opportunities associated with the activation opportunity on which the activation signal is transmitted. In one embodiment, the activation signal is a L1 signal or a scheduling request. The dynamic scheduling may or may not be used for data transmission. In one embodiment, the configured PUSCH opportunities are available for data transmission by dynamic scheduling until detecting one or more disabling conditions. In another embodiment, the configured PUSCH opportunities are not available for data transmission until detecting one or more enabling conditions.

    Abstract: Concepts and examples pertaining to efficient coding switching and modem resource utilization in wireless communication systems are described. A processor of a modem of a user equipment (UE), configured with at least a first-capacity decoder and at least a second-capacity decoder, receives a common virtual carrier (CVC), a dedicated virtual carrier (DVC), or both. The CVC contains common information shared by multiple UEs, control information for the UE, and/or data information related to first data destined for the UE. The DVC contains control information for the UE, the first data, or a combination thereof. The first-capacity decoder decodes data of a small size up to a low data rate. The second-capacity decoder decodes data of a large size up to a high data rate. The processor determines whether to decode the first data using the first-capacity decoder or the second-capacity decoder based on the data information in the CVC.
