    摘要: A stator which may be employed in an electric rotating machine. The stator includes a stator winding which includes in-slot portions disposed in slots of a stator core. The in-slot portions are arrayed in each of the slots in a form of multiple layers aligned in a radial direction of the stator core. The stator winding is made up of a first winding and a second winding which are connected together through a joint. The first winding is defined by a portion of the stator winding between the joint and an end of the stator winding which is to be connected to an external. The second winding includes the in-slot portion placed within at least one of the slots as an outermost layer that is one of the layers placed most outwardly in the radial direction of the stator core. This results in a great decrease in leakage current.

    摘要: An electric rotating machine includes a stator, a rotor, and a plurality of magnetic shields. The stator includes a stator core and a stator coil wound on the stator core. The stator core has a plurality of stator teeth arranged in the circumferential direction of the stator core. The rotor includes a rotor core that has a plurality of magnetic salient poles formed therein. The magnetic salient poles face the stator teeth through an air gap formed therebetween. Each of the magnetic shields is provided, either on the forward side of a corresponding one of the stator teeth or on the backward side of a corresponding one of the magnetic salient poles with respect to the rotational direction of the rotor, to create a magnetic flux which suppresses generation of a negative electromagnetic force that hinders rotation of the rotor.

    摘要: An alternator for use in an automotive vehicle includes a circuit for detecting initiation of rotation of an engine. Upon detecting the initiation of rotation, excitation current supply to a field winding is started, and thereafter an alternator output is controlled by controlling the excitation current. A resistor is connected to one phase winding of an armature to obtain a voltage indicating initiation of rotation during a period in which no excitation current is supplied to the field winding, and a capacitor is connected to another phase winding to raise the indicating voltage level. Since the indicating voltage induced by a small amount of residual magnetism is increased to a sufficient level by the capacitor, the initiation of rotation can be accurately detected.

    摘要: A generating apparatus includes a generator, a first and a second rectifiers, and a voltage regulator. The generator has three-phase star-connected armature windings which generate three-phase high-output voltage at phase-terminals and low-output voltage at a neutral point. The first rectifier is a three-phase full-wave rectifier connected between the phase-winding and a high-voltage load, and the second rectifier is a diode connected between the neutral point and a low-voltage load with a battery. The regulator regulates the high output voltage to energize the high-voltage load and, at the same time, the low-output voltage to become an optimum voltage level for charging battery. MOSFETs may be used for the first rectifier to short-circuit the armature windings thereby supplying them with leading currents which are respectively ahead of the high-output voltages, so as to increase the generator output power.

    摘要: An alternator includes MOSFETs used as rectifiers which are sealed by a sealing member (for example, a molded epoxy resin) together with heat radiating fins and an external input/output terminal plate. The sealing member can evenly dissipate stress even if the radiating fins, terminal plate, and the like vibrate with different phases. Since the rectifying elements are reliably secured even when subjected to great vibrations, damage to the MOSFETs can be suppressed. The MOSFETs are never exposed to atmospheric air since the MOSFETs are sealed by the sealing member. Therefore, the alternator can improve the MOSFETs' resistance against adverse operational conditions.

    摘要: A power-generating voltage outputted from a vehicle synchronous power generator is adjusted to a first voltage for charging a battery under the control of a field current. Further, a leading phase current that leads a phase voltage is supplied to each of multiple armature windings and the field current is supplied to the field winding, whereby the power-generating voltage can be adjusted to a second voltage higher than the first power-generating voltage. Owing to the above construction, a voltage higher than the normal voltage can be generated by supplying each leading phase current from the vehicle synchronous power generator; hence power can be supplied to a high-voltage load based on the generated high voltage.

    摘要: In a motor-generator control system for controlling a motor-generator, first and second sets of multiphase windings of a motor-generator are arranged to be spatially shifted in phase from each other. An allocating unit is configured to, upon input of workload request for the motor-generator, determine a first torque to be allocated to the first set of multiphase windings and a second torque to be allocated to the second set of multiphase windings. A resultant torque of the first torque and second torque meets the input workload request for the motor-generator. An energizing unit is configured to energize the first set of multiphase windings to create the first torque and energize the second set of multiphase windings to create the second torque.
