Abstract:
A bicycle having a wheel and a frame supported by the wheel. The frame includes a wheel support and a stay extending from the wheel support. A stay protector engages the stay, and a chain guide member is coupled to the stay protector to support and align the chain. The chain guide member comprises a guide mount and a guide carriage. The guide mount is secured to the stay protector, and the guide carriage is supported by the guide mount. The bicycle chain passes through a channel formed on the guide carriage.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for managing information related to backup storage activities of data storage systems. In a computer system having one or more independent backup data storage systems coupled to each other and each serving one or more clients, a user may obtain information related to backup activities of any of the backup storage systems from a single location. Through a user interface associated with any of the backup storage systems, or through a stand alone user interface, a user may manage (e.g., organize, display, print) information related to backup activities of any or all of the backup storage systems. System administrators can design and store a variety of report formats that may be utilized by any user to display or print various parameters associated with backup activities in a particular manner. Report formats may be edited by users, and displayed parameters may be dynamically updated to provide for active monitoring of one or more backup storage systems. Additionally, periodic backup activity reports can be generated and automatically sent to designated locations, for example to one or more printers and/or to one or more designated recipients via E-mail.
Abstract:
Sulfonylethyl and thioethyl phosphorodiamidates, their preparation and intermediates in their preparation, formulations containing them, and their pharmaceutical use. The compounds are useful for treating cancer, alone and in combination with other anticancer therapies.
Abstract:
A continuously variable planetary gear set is described having a generally tubular idler, a plurality of balls distributed radially about the idler, each ball having a tiltable axis about which it rotates, a rotatable input disc positioned adjacent to the balls and in contact with each of the balls, a rotatable output disc positioned adjacent to the balls opposite the input disc and in contact with each of the balls such that each of the balls makes three-point contact with the input disc, the output disc and the idler, and a rotatable cage adapted to maintain the axial and radial position of each of the balls, wherein the axes of the balls are oriented by the axial position of the idler.
Abstract:
An article for storing and dispensing water. The article can include a housing and a plumbing system. The housing can define a cavity that is configured to hold a predetermined volume of water. The plumbing system is coupled to the housing and includes at least one delivery conduit and a system for selectively dispensing a predetermined portion of the predetermined volume of water to the at least one delivery conduit. A method for forming an article for storing and dispensing water is also provided.
Abstract:
This invention describes apparatus for and methods of testing cooling systems. The apparatus and method can be used for, among other things, pressurizing the cooling system either to a positive pressure or to a negative pressure, and for conducting temperature tests.
Abstract:
Various systems and methods for re-purposing content objects are described herein. As just one example, a method is disclosed that includes receiving a content element and reducing the content element to a maintenance form. The content element in the maintenance form is a content object and the maintenance form can be either an extensible form or a semi-extensible form. The content object is stored to a computer readable medium. A request for the content object is received that indicates the medium in which the content object will be portrayed, and the content object is provided consistent with the indicated medium.
Abstract:
The invention provides pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine compounds of formula (I) having a —C(O)—NH—C(R4)(R5)-aryl substituent at the 5-position of the pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine ring system wherein at least one of R4 and R5 is not a hydrogen atom (H) compound or a salt thereof: wherein Ar has the sub-formula (x) or (z). These compounds are useful as inhibitors of PDE4.
Abstract:
An improved decorative light string circuit comprises full bridge rectification located in or downstream of the front plug, wherein the rectification circuit contains one or more voltage reducing and/or filtering elements in order to reduce or limit LED drive current and reduce (filter) DC ripple and 1 or 2 LED series sets. Additional rectification circuits and LED series sets can be added in parallel to the first in “stacked mode”, with each rectification circuit and LED series set electrically independent of prior and subsequent circuits. This eliminates the rectifying diode current summation load restrictions imposed by prior art and associated safety hazard due to diode overheating.
Abstract:
Various systems and methods for facilitating media production are disclosed herein. As just one example, a system is disclosed that includes a microprocessor based controller and a computer readable medium coupled to the microprocessor based controller. Software is included on the computer readable medium that is executable to receive a first and a second media product constraint, and to associate the first and second media product constraints into a job definition.
