    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention provides sufficiently high exchange coupling with a magnetic layer and improve the yield and reliability of a magnetoresistive head. By using a tilted growth crystalline structured antiferromagnetic film manufactured by an oblique incident deposition method, a high exchange coupling field with a ferromagnetic film can be obtained. As a result, excellent reliability and high output can be obtained in a magnetoresistive head utilizing features in accordance with embodiments of the present invention.

    摘要: An automatic label winding and charging device is provided for use with a portable label applying system in which labels temporarily adhered in series to a web of backing paper are printed with bar codes or the like by the action of a printer. The label web having printed labels is fed to a take-up cassette that is removably mounted in the printer, being removable therefrom for insertion in a dispenser for applying the printed labels to commodities. The automatic label winding and charging device comprises a cassette guide member for guiding the cassette when the latter is to be mounted in the printer. Pressure releasing means is provided for releasing the label web so that it may be freely advanced. In order to ensure the smooth guidance of the label web, an arcuate guide groove is provided for guiding the printed label web therethrough to the cassette. A cutter is provided to sever this printed label web at a suitable position thereof.

    摘要: An automatic label winding and charging device is part of a system used for printing and applying labels that are temporarily adhered in series to a web of backing paper. The system includes a bar code printer which feeds a printed label web to a cassette and the latter is then insertable into a label applicator so that the printed labels can be dispensed and applied to commodities. The automatic label winding and charging device includes cassette mounting means for mounting the cassette in the printer to receive a printed label web produced by the latter. The printed label web is guided in the printer by guide means disposed adjacent to the cassette mounting means. The cassette is equipped with winding means for winding the printed label web being fed from the printer. Means are included to prevent peeling of printed labels from the printed label web during loading of the cassette.

    摘要: A portable label printing and applying machine: a platen to support the label to be printed is attached to the machine frame; a printing head is placed above the platen; a spring pushes the printing head down toward the platen with a constant pressure and for a constant time period, regardless of the strength and the duration of the squeezing of the operating hand lever of the machine; the printing head is restrained from descending until the spring has been adequately charged by squeezing of the hand lever, and then the printing head is released to descend. The printing head is separated from the platen immediately after its descent to and contact against the platen. In addition, there is a second spring acting on the printing head in opposition to the first mentioned spring to raise the printing head off the platen. In one embodiment, the first spring is apart from the printing head but acts on it. In another embodiment, the printing head is comprised of a number of relatively movable parts; the first spring for moving the head to the platen is in the printing head and is charged by relative motion of the parts of the printing head.

    摘要: The disclosure concerns a printing device for use with a hand labeler, or the like. The printing device includes a platen and a printing head which carries a plurality of types on its printing surface, and which is moved into and out of contact with the platen thereby to print a label with a row of type characters. A type receiving plate is a part of the platen and it is made of an elastic material. The type receiving plate has dividing grooves which are parallel to one another and define type receiving lands. The type receiving lands are positioned to register with respective type characters when the printing head operates. The lands can be elastically deformed independently of one another. Thus, the type receiving lands can cooperate with the respective types to provide uniform printing pressure during the printing operation.

Parting cut lines extend transversely across the strip of label material at regular intervals to form a plurality of unit label pieces. Feeding cut lines are defined in the effective portions of each unit label piece except the marginal portion of the label piece to form first feeding tongues. Other feeding cut lines are defined in the backing material at the positions corresponding to the abovementioned feeding cut lines to form second feeding tongues which are of a different shape from that of the first feeding tongues.

An ink applicator having an inking roller is detachably secured to the supporting device. Stoppers are formed on the supporting device. The stoppers are each comprised of a guide section for guiding emplacing motion of the ink applicator, a stopper section for determining the extent of ink applicator insertion and a retaining section for supporting a portion of the ink applicator and for preventing its leaving the supporting device. The ink applicator is brought into engagement with the supporting device.

    摘要: The disclosure concerns a constant pressure printing mechanism for use with a hand labeler. A continuous strip of labels is fed in increments by manual squeezing of a hand lever. The constant pressure printing mechanism includes a retaining member hinged to the frame of the hand labeler and biased by a spring into abutment contact with an actuating member, which is hinged to the hand lever. The actuating member is also biased by a tension spring to shift out of engagement with the retaining member until the actuating member is halted by a stopper. A release member is mounted on the hand lever for releasing the retaining member from engagement with the actuating member when the hand lever is squeezed toward the grip. Thus, printing is effected under a constant pressure that is determined by the inertia of the hand lever caused by the release of said actuating member irrespective of the intensity of the squeezing force of the hand lever.

    摘要: In a hand-operated label printing machine, including a hand lever and a printing head attached to the hand lever; a printing pressure buffer mechanism or a constant pressure printing mechanism which comprises: in a first embodiment, a spring-actuated engaging member formed in the hand lever and a cooperating checking shoulder which is formed in the main body of the machine; an inclined groove leads to the shoulder; the shoulder is brought into disengageable engagement with the spring-actuated engaging member for moderating the printing pressure; and when the spring-actuated engaging member rides over the checking shoulder, the printing head is actuated; in a second embodiment, a pressure receiving engaging member is carried on the hand lever, through a lost motion connection; a pressure contact member and a guide member are both carried on the main body of the machine and are spaced apart; the pressure receiving engaging member is integrally provided with a pressure receiving piece having a cam surface at the tip end thereof and with a guide piece, spaced from the pressure receiving piece and having an engaging portion at the tip end thereof; when the hand lever is actuated, the cam surface of the pressure receiving engaging member rides across the pressure contact member and the printing is performed at a predetermined pressure; at the same time, the engaging portion of the guide piece is brought into resilient engagement with the guide member to moderate the shock in the printing stroke.
