    Abstract: A medical device is configured to deliver an electrical stimulation pulse to a heart of a patient, determine a pre-stimulation cardiac event amplitude prior to delivering the electrical stimulation pulse and adjust a cardiac event sensing threshold according to a first post-stimulation decay sequence in response to the electrical stimulation pulse delivery. The first post-stimulation decay sequence is controlled by a sensing module of the medical device according to a first set of sensing control parameters including at least one sensing control parameter based on the pre-stimulation cardiac event amplitude.

    Abstract: A medical device is configured to detect an atrial tachyarrhythmia episode. The device senses a cardiac signal, identifies R-waves in the cardiac signal attendant ventricular depolarizations and determines classification factors from the R-waves identified over a predetermined time period. The device classifies the predetermined time period as one of unclassified, atrial tachyarrhythmia and non-atrial tachyarrhythmia by comparing the determined classification factors to classification criteria. A classification criterion is adjusted from a first classification criterion to a second classification criterion after at least one time period being classified as atrial tachyarrhythmia. An atrial tachyarrhythmia episode is detected by the device in response to at least one subsequent time period being classified as atrial tachyarrhythmia based on the adjusted classification criterion.

    Abstract: An implantable medical device performs a method that includes detecting a cardiac event interval that is greater than a P-wave oversensing threshold interval. In response to detecting the cardiac event interval greater than the P-wave oversensing threshold interval, the device determines the amplitude of the sensed cardiac signal and withholds restarting a pacing interval in response to the amplitude satisfying P-wave oversensing criteria. A pacing pulse may be generated in response to the pacing interval expiring without sensing an intrinsic cardiac electrical event that is not detected as a P-wave oversensing event.
