摘要: A process is disclosed for the production of high octane gasoline rich in aromatics but containing a relatively low concentration of benzene. The process comprises the separation of C.sub.6 fraction of the gasoline feedstock into n-hexane and C.sub.6 isomers. The n-hexane and C.sub.7 + streams are catalytically reformed to produce a reformate with a diminished yield of benzene. The reformate is separated and the C.sub.6 - reformate fraction containing benzene is alkylated employing acidic metallosilicate catalyst such as ZSM-5 as the catalyst and preferably methano or propylene as the alkylating agent. The alkylate comprises C.sub.7+ alkylaromatics. The C.sub.6 isomers are blended into the gasoline pool.

摘要: A method and apparatus are disclosed to reduce the amount of unstripped hydrocarbon flowing to the regenerator in a riser reactor FCC unit. The catalyst stripper section is heated by indirect heat exchange with a mixture of hot regenerator flue gas and regenerated catalyst. In the preferred embodiment, the regenerator is operated under partial combustion conditions and the resulting carbon monoxide-containing flue gas is burned in a catalyst stripper heat exchanger.

摘要: An improved process is described for the conversion of olefins to gasoline in contact with zeolite type catalyst. Improvement comprises incorporating a fractionation step in the separation of the effluent stream from the olefins to gasoline conversion reactor such that LPG components in the effluent stream are separated and recovered as well as a stream comprising C.sub.5 + gasoline range boiling liquids. In a preferred embodiment the fractionation step is integrated with FCC unsaturated gas plant fractionators providing advantages in the utilization of common fractionation equipment resulting in significant reduction in process energy and investment requirement.

摘要: A process and reactor system is disclosed for hydrotreating a low sulfur containing olefinic distillate and conventional feedstock to a catalytic hydrodesulfurization. The process comprises passing a minor portion of the olefinic distillate to a first hydrotreating zone in admixture with conventional CHD feedstock. A major portion of the olefinic distillate is passed to a second hydrotreating zone in combination with the effluent from the first zone. In this manner the exotherm attributable to olefins hydrogenation is controlled within limits sufficient to avoid very frequent catalyst regeneration.

摘要: A fluidized bed catalytic process for conversion of light olefinic gas feedstock containing ethene and propene to produce C.sub.5.sup.+ hydrocarbons and for the conversion of catalytic reformate feedstock to produce C.sub.7 -C.sub.11 aromatic hydrocarbons, comprising a maintaining a fluidized bed of zeolite catalyst particles in a turbulent reactor bed at a temperature of about 600.degree. to 750.degree. F. (316.degree. to 399.degree. C.) and pressure of about 100 to 250 psig (790 to 825 kPa. The catalyst has an apparent particle density of about 0.9 to 1.6 g/cm.sup.3 and a size range of about 1 to 150 microns, and average catalyst particle size of about 20 to 100 microns containing about 10 to 25 weight percent of fine particles having a particle size less than 32 microns. The feed vapor is passed upwardly through the fluidized catalyst bed under turbulent flow conditions; turbulent fluidized bed conditions are maintained through the reactor bed between transition velocity and transport velocity at a superficial fluid velocity of about 0.3 to 2 meters per second; and hydrocarbon product is recovered containing C.sub.5.sup.+ hydrocarbons and C.sub.7 to C.sub.11 aromatic hydrocarbons.

摘要: An improved process for reacting crude aqueous methanol feedstock with tertiary-olefinic hydrocarbons to produce C.sub.5.sup.+ methyl tertiary-alkyl ethers, which comprises: contacting the aqueous methanol feedstock with a liquid hydrocarbon extractant rich in C.sub.4.sup.+ isoalkylene under liquid extraction conditions; recovering an organic extract phase comprising the hydrocarbon extractant and a major amount of methanol introduced in the feedstock; reacting the extracted methanol and C.sub.4.sup.+ isoalkene in contact with an acid etherification catalyst under catalytic reaction conditions to produce ether product; separating ether product from unreacted methanol and olefin; recovering an aqueous methanol raffinate phase containing the major amount of water introduced with the feedstock and a minor amount of feedstock methanol; and converting methanol from the aqueous raffinate phase concurrently with unreacted methanol and olefin from etherification effluent separation to produce hydrocarbons.

摘要: The present invention discloses a process for increasing the selectivity of the production of isobutylene in an admixture of C.sub.4 olefins, in a process comprising producing isobutylene, with high selectivity, comprising catalytically producing a first composition comprising at least one C.sub.4 olefin selected from the group consisting of 1-butene, cis-2-butene, trans-2-butene, admixtures thereof and 2-methylpropene admixed with at least one of said 1-butene, cis-2-butene, and trans-2-butene, by passing paraffin containing feed, which feed is free of aromatics, and in which the paraffin contains 5 to 20 carbon atoms, in the vapor phase, over a first catalyst composition, wherein the catalyst comprises ZSM-5 or ZSM-12, and increasing the isobutylene content of the first composition by producing a second composition, by contacting the first composition with a second catalyst composition comprising ZSM-23 under conditions in which the second composition is in the vapor phase, while maintaining the total C.sub.4 olefin content of the second composition substantially identical to the total C.sub.4 olefin content of the first composition.

摘要: A process is disclosed for the production of tertiary alkyl ethers wherein linear olefins, particularly n-butene, are isomerized in the vapor phase at high temperature in contact with shape selective metallosilicate catalyst to produce iso-olefin vapor, particularly isobutene. The vaporous iso-butene is then etherified with alkanol to provide alkyl tert-alkyl ether such as MTBE. Unreacted iso-olefin and/or linear olefin and product ether are separated by fractionation and unreacted olefin components recycled. Fractionation of the vapor phase etherification product is carried out by using the fresh liquid linear olefin feedstream as a reflux stream to the fractionator.

摘要: Isopentene, or isoamylene, conversion to methyl tert-amyl ether can be substantially improved while high conversion of isobutylene to methyl tert-butyl ether can be maintained by carrying out the overall etherification process with alkanol in a staged manner, wherein the first stage is methanol etherification of a C.sub.5 +, or C.sub.5, hydrocarbon feedstream rich in isoamylene and the second stage is etherification to produce MTBE and additional TAME from a C.sub.4 +, or C.sub.4, feedstream. Unreacted methanol and hydrocarbons from the first etherification are uniquely separated by fractionation from the TAME product by using the second stage C.sub.4 + feedstream as a reflux stream to the fractionator and passed to the second etherification zone. Products from the second etherification zone are separated by distillation to produce MTBE, TAME and C.sub.5 +, or C.sub.5, hydrocarbons as a bottom stream.
