    Abstract: A displacement detection sensor has a plate member and piezoelectric sensors with a piezoelectric film of PLLA. The piezoelectric sensors are mounted on the face of the plate member on the opposite side of the operation surface thereof. Tensile stresses are generated in the entire face of the plate member at pressing the operation surface. The piezoelectric sensor is mounted so that the direction of macro tensile stress in the plate member in the region in which the piezoelectric sensor is mounted and molecular orientation direction of the piezoelectric film intersect each other at an angle of 45°. The piezoelectric sensor is mounted so that the direction of macro tensile stress in the plate member in the region in which the piezoelectric sensor is mounted and molecular orientation direction of the piezoelectric film intersect each other at an angle of approximately 45°.

    Abstract: A press detecting sensor that includes an operation receiving member and a piezoelectric sensor. The operation receiving member is a multilayer rigid plate including a cover glass, a touch sensor and a display panel fixed via first bonding agents. The piezoelectric sensor includes a piezoelectric film, a first detecting member on a surface at a side of the operation receiving member of the piezoelectric film, and a second detecting member on a surface at a side opposite to the operation receiving member. The first detecting member is bonded to the operation receiving member by an adhesive member, and is bonded to the piezoelectric film by a second bonding agent.

    Abstract: A pressing force sensor that includes a sensor element configured with a piezoelectric film, a lead terminal for connection to an external circuit, a wiring conductor which connects pressing force detection electrodes and the lead terminal, and a flexible printed circuit board which withstands solder reflow temperatures. The flexible printed circuit board has the pressing force detection electrodes formed on a first principal surface thereof, and is folded via a folding line while the first principal surface faces inward. The sensor element is deflected by a pressing force applied to a second principal surface which faces outward and is in a first area of the flexible printed circuit board which is on one side with respect to the folding line, and a signal corresponding to the pressing force is thus taken out from the pressing force detection electrodes.

    Abstract: A displacement sensor having a rectangular shaped elastic member. A piezoelectric element is attached to a first main face of the elastic member. The piezoelectric element has a rectangular-shaped piezoelectric sheet and electrodes on both main faces of the piezoelectric sheet. The piezoelectric sheet is made of poly-L-lactic acid and is at least uniaxially-stretched. The piezoelectric element is attached so that the uniaxial-stretching direction of the piezoelectric sheet is 45° relative to a long-side direction of the elastic member. When the elastic member is bent along the long-side direction, the piezoelectric sheet is stretched along the long-side direction, and the piezoelectric element generates voltage of predetermined level.

    Abstract: A pressing force sensor that includes an expandable and contractible film, pressing force detecting resistor membranes formed on a portion of a main surface of the film, and a support disposed along the main surface of the film. The support is provided with recesses or holes with openings located in areas where the pressing force detecting resistor membranes on the main surface of the film are located. In the pressing force sensor, when a pressing force is exerted on the main surface of the film, the film is expanded with a pressing force detecting resistor membrane. As a result, the pressing force detecting resistor membrane is deformed, and a change in resistance value of the pressing force detecting resistor membrane corresponding to the deformation is detected.

    Abstract: A displacement detection device includes a piezoelectric sensor. The piezoelectric sensor is provided with a piezoelectric sheet on both principal surfaces of which detection electrodes are formed. When stress is applied to the piezoelectric sensor, charge is generated, and an output voltage in accordance with this generated charge is detected in a DC voltage detector. A controller measures this output voltage at a predetermined time interval. Every time the controller measures the output voltage, the controller makes a short-circuit control of a switch, and causes the charge generated in the piezoelectric sensor to be released. The controller can thereby detect an amount of change in output voltage generated at the predetermined time interval in accordance with an amount of displacement of the piezoelectric sensor. By sequentially integrating this, the controller can accurately detect the amount of displacement of the piezoelectric sensor which changes across measurement timings.
