    Abstract: A planar light source includes an irregular-shaped mounting substrate, light sources arranged along first and second directions in a plan view, and a light diffusion plate including a thick plate portion and a thin plate portion outward of outermost light sources in the plan view. In the first direction, a distance between an optical axis of one first distal-end light source of one array and an outer edge of the light diffusion plate is greater than a distance between that of another first distal-end light source of another array and the outer edge. In a plan view, the thin plate portion has a width along a straight line along the first direction from the optical axis of the one first distal-end light source toward the outer edge greater than a width along a straight line from the optical axis of the second distal-end light source toward the outer edge.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes a substrate, a plurality of light sources, a partitioning member, a light transmissive member, a plurality of reflecting portions. The light sources are arranged on the substrate. Each of the light sources has a light emitting diode. The partitioning member includes a plurality of wall portions defining a plurality of sections respectively surrounding at least one of the light sources, the wall portions including top portions. The light transmissive member is arranged above the light sources. The plurality of reflecting portions are arranged on a lower surface of the light transmissive member. Lower surfaces of the reflecting portions are positioned lower than apexes of the top portions of the wall portions of the partitioning member.

    Abstract: A light emitting device includes a resin package having a rectangular shape in a top view and two short-side lateral surfaces and two long-side lateral surfaces.
