    Abstract: A method, apparatus, and a computer-readable storage medium are provided for NG based context release and data forwarding for multi-hop mobility. In an example implementation, the method may include a core network entity receiving a first message from a first network node, the first message including at least one of a user equipment context release request and a data forwarding request and detecting the at least one of the user equipment context release request and the data forwarding request from the first message. The method may further include sending a second message including at least one of a user equipment context release command and data forwarding information to a second network node based at least on the detected at least one of the user equipment context release request and the data forwarding request.

    Abstract: In a system, apparatus, method, and non-transitory computer readable medium for implementing DRX extensions for energy harvesting (EH) REDCAP UEs, a UE device may be caused to, obtain CDRX configuration from a RAN node, the CDRX configuration including at least a desired EH CDRX energy threshold value and a short CDRX timer threshold value, determine whether a current stored energy capacity equals or exceeds the desired EH CDRX energy threshold value at a start of an ON duration of a CDRX cycle, determine EH CDRX settings based on results of the determining and the plurality of adaptive EH CDRX configuration settings, and transmit at least one EH CDRX message to the RAN node based on the determined EH CDRX settings.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to methods, devices, apparatuses, and computer readable medium for small data transmission (SDT). The method comprises in accordance with a determination that a first condition related to Small Data Transmission (SDT) is met, determining a target identifier associated with an inactive state of the first device; and transmitting, to the second device, a first message for the SDT comprising the target identifier. By using an I-RNTI determined based on the SDT type, which may be the short I-RNTI or a new I-RNTI even shorter than the short I-RNTI, bits can be saved and used for UL data that can be transmitted while respecting a maximum SDT data threshold configured by the network device.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for user equipment (UE) context duplication. In certain embodiments, when a UE may resume at a target network node within its configured radio area, a duplication of a UE context may occur at the target network node, and the target network node may allocate an additional/secondary identifier to the UE. The secondary identifier may indicate the UE's identity within the network. When configured with a secondary identifier, the UE may retain an original/primary identifier assigned by the anchor network node. The anchor network node may retain the UE context and may maintain user plane connectivity to a core network. The UE may use this primary identifier for operations within the configured radio area, whereas the secondary identifier may be used when resuming operations to a cell that is outside of the configured radio area.
