    Abstract: A method and apparatus for dynamically adapting scheduling parameter(s) to achieve power savings. A user equipment may be configured with one or more offsets between scheduled PDCCH and PDSCH transmissions. The user equipment may receive from a network an indication to dynamically change these offsets. If the user equipment sleeps through a first transmission of this indication, upon next receiving the indication the user equipment may update, for example, the offset in a time domain resource allocation table. The indication to dynamically change an offset may be an indication of an offset including fewer slots. A change to the offset, with which downlink transmission is expected by the user equipment, may be disabled. A network node may be configured to transmit downlink traffic to the user equipment according to a configured offset and/or according to an offset the network node indicated to the user equipment.

    Abstract: A method can include transmitting, by a user equipment to a base station, coherence information indicating, based on precoding to be performed in association with transmission, whether multiple transmission signals to be transmitted via multiple transmission ports will be coherent with each other, receiving, from the base station, a transmission indication message, the transmission indication message assigning uplink transmission resources and coherence information to the multiple transmission ports, and transmitting, to the base station via the assigned uplink transmission resources, the multiple transmission signals via the multiple transmission ports.

    Abstract: Embodiments described herein encode data for multiple-segment transmission in a communication channel by encoding payload bits with an outer code and distributing the outer encoded payload bits to a plurality of N element coders, where N is an integer greater than one. At each of the N element coders the respectively input outer encoded payload bits are encoded with a respective element code. Outputs of the N element coders are encoded with an inner code such that the inner code applied to at least one of the outputs of the N element coders is a function of the output of at least one other of the N element coders. Finally, N discrete inner coded outputs are provided for transmission in respective N discrete segments of a wireless channel. The examples present polar element coders and the inner code combines outputs of certain element coders with an exclusive-OR function.

    Abstract: In some example embodiments, there may be provided a method. The method may include receiving, at a user equipment, a plurality of multicarrier parameters including a scaling parameter, a first quantity of carriers in a first group of carriers, and a second quantity of carriers in a second group of carriers; operating in a first mode using the received scaling factor, when the received plurality of multicarrier parameters does not result in the second group having equal or better monitoring performance than the first group; and operating in a second mode inhibiting use of the received scaling factor, when the received plurality of multicarrier parameters results in the second group having equal or better monitoring performance than the first group. Related methods, systems, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.
