    摘要: A wrapping sheet is to be torn by the inflation of an air bag. Since attachment shafts, used to hold the folded air bag in position, are projected from the air bag, an engagement portion of the wrapping sheet is fitted on the attachment shafts, and the shape of a folding completed body of the air bag is maintained. The wrapping sheet includes not only the engagement portion, but also a coupled portion to be connected to the air bag, and a folding form control portion, which has an auxiliary engagement portion to be fitted on the attachment shafts. When the auxiliary engagement portion is fitted on the attachment shafts, the shape of the air bag that is being folded is adjusted.

    摘要: An air bag system of the invention is attached using an attaching piece portion and includes an air bag which is inflated for deployment when an inflating gas flows thereinto. The air bag is attached to an inner panel by attaching an attaching bracket having a pair of strengthening plates provided on front and back sides of the attaching piece portion with a bolt as a fastening means. A through hole in the attaching piece portion is set to such a size that a location constituting a circumferential edge is disposed at a position deflected from an area between a head portion of the bolt and the inner panel when a fastening stem portion of the bolt is fastened to the inner panel. The bolt is fastened to the inner panel in such a state that only the attaching bracket is interposed between the inner panel and the head portion.

    摘要: An air bag system for a navigator's or passenger's seat includes a casing with an opening arranged in an instrument panel below an inclined windshield. An air bag, having a gas inlet port and accommodated in a folded shape in the casing, is held at the peripheral edge of the gas inlet port by the casing. When inflated, the air bag will extend a great distance toward the passenger's seat and will also interfere with the windshield. The inflator is arranged in the casing for feeding the gases to the gas inlet port of the air bag which is offset from the center of one of the base cloths, and the opening of the casing is covered but opens upon inflation. The air bag is shaped by sewing the peripheral edges of two circular base cloths.

    摘要: A process for producing porous films which comprises melting a resin composition consisting essentially of (1) 100 parts by weight of a high-pressure-processed low-density polyethylene resin having a melt index of 0.5 to 7 and a density of 0.915 to 0.935, a linear low-density polyethylene resin having a melt index of 0.5 to 8.5 and a density of 0.915 to 0.935, or a mixture thereof and (2) 50 to 500 parts by weight of barium sulfate having an average particle diameter of 0.1 to 7 .mu.m; forming the molten resin composition into a film; and then stretching the film at least uniaxially by a factor of 1.5 to 7. As the linear low-density polyethylene resin, a copolymer of ethylene and hexene and/or octene is particularly preferred.
