    Abstract: There is provided a remote control system including a controlled device and a remote device. The controlled device has a light source and moves according to a control signal from the remote device. The remote device is adapted to be operated by a user and includes an image sensor. The remote device determines a moving direction of the controlled device according to an imaging position of the light source in the image captured by the image sensor and a pointing position of the user, and outputs the control signal.

    Abstract: There is provided a pixel circuit for performing analog operation including a photodiode, a first temporal circuit, a second temporal circuit and an operation circuit. Within a first interval, the photodiode detects first light energy to be stored in the first temporal circuit. Within a second interval, the photodiode detects second light energy to be stored in the second temporal circuit. Within an operation interval, the first temporal circuit outputs a first detection signal having a first pulse width according to the first light energy and outputs a second detection signal having a second pulse width according to the second light energy for being calculated by the operation circuit.

    Abstract: A method and node for processing messages within an Internet of Things (IoT) network and network packet thereof are provided. Multiple fields of a header of a network packet broadcasted over the IoT network are referred to in the method. When a node receives a network packet broadcasted over the IOT network, it checks if the node's ID is recorded in an ID field of the network packet. The node ID is added to the network packet if the network packet does not record the node ID, and the network packet is then broadcasted to the IOT network; otherwise, the network packet is not broadcasted if the node ID has been recorded in the ID field. The node also performs a function indicated in a function field of the network packet when the node ID is not recorded in the network packet.

    Abstract: An image identification method is used to eliminate accumulated error of operation of a joystick. The joystick has an optical sensor adapted to analyze a movement of a plurality of identification dots disposed on a stick body. The image identification method includes receiving a series of detection images, setting a first identification dot of the plurality of identification dots as being a reference identification dot, and setting a second identification dot of the plurality of identification dos as being the reference identification dot and cancelling the first identification dot as being the reference identification dot when the first identification dot is near a border of the detection image. A position change of the reference identification dot in the series of detection images is used for identifying a control status of the joystick.

    Abstract: A temperature detecting device is cooperated with an air conditioner. The temperature detecting device includes a temperature detector and a visual indicator. The temperature detector is utilized to generate a temperature distribution result about a specific area. The visual indicator is electrically connected to the temperature detector and utilized to provide a visual mark indicating position information according to the temperature distribution result. The conditioner includes an air supply module, a wind adjustment module and a detection camera. The wind adjustment module is adapted to adjust wind's direction from the air supply module. The detection camera is electrically connected with the wind adjustment module and adapted to detect the visual mark for controlling the wind adjustment module.
