Abstract:
Embodiments of the present invention relate to the field of telecommunication, and more specifically, to communication connectors such as, for example, shielded plug and jack connectors. In an embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack that includes a housing and a front sled assembly having a plurality of plug interface contacts (PICs), the front sled assembly being moveable along a horizontal plane of the communication jack between a first position and a second position, the first position being different from the second position.
Abstract:
The present invention generally relates to the field of telecommunication, and more particularly, to the field of connectors such as plugs and/or jacks used to interconnect electronic equipment. In an embodiment, the present invention is a shielded RJ45 network jack with an inter-jack connection method that has an electrical disengagement point outside of any electrical mating points, while still allowing for a relatively short distance to compensation from the plug/jack mating interface.
Abstract:
A faceplate assembly is disclosed. The faceplate assembly includes a cover and a backing plate. The cover has at least one hood positioned at an edge of the cover. The backing plate is connected to the cover. The hood creates an opening between the cover and the backing plate to enable cables to be routed therethrough. The backing plate also has an outer edge with a split to enable the backing plate to be installed over pre-installed cables.
Abstract:
A wire containment has a strain relief clip with a flexible member. The flexible member extends from the strain relief clip and is interposed between an inserted cable and the remainder of the stain relief clip.
Abstract:
A bracket that secures a cable to a strut-style ladder rung that has a rectangular cross-section with an opening along a lower side. The bracket has a spring flange portion, a latch flange portion, and a cable attachment portion. The spring flange portion is sized to be inserted in the opening of the ladder rung. The spring flange portion provides a spring force against the lower side of the ladder rung. The latch flange portion engages at least two sides of the ladder rung in a latched position. The cable attachment portion receives a cable tie to secure the cable to the bracket and attached ladder rung.
Abstract:
A compliant hanger assembly is disclosed for installation onto a strut channel. With the installation of the compliant hanger assembly, the simple and effective use of a metal ball locking cable tie is made available to attach components (e.g., cables) onto the strut.
Abstract:
A communications connector has a middle barrel, top sled, and bottom sled. The top sled has a top wire opening and a top insulation displacement contact (IDC) hole with the top IDC hole providing access to a wire inserted into the top wire opening. The top sled has a top IDC channel containing a top IDC. The bottom sled has a bottom wire opening and a bottom IDC hole with the bottom IDC hole providing access to a wire inserted into the bottom wire opening. The bottom sled also has a bottom IDC channel with a bottom IDC. The top and bottom sleds are can be fitted together and inserted into the middle barrel with the top IDC engaging a wire inserted into the bottom wire opening through the bottom IDC hole and the bottom IDC engaging a wire inserted into the top wire opening through the top IDC hole.

Abstract:
In an embodiment, the present invention is a communication plug that includes a plug housing with a plurality of plug contact slots and at least one plug contact with at least two tines. The at least one plug contact is positioned in one of the plug contact slots, the one of the plug contact slots having a bridge positioned between the at least two tines.
