    Abstract: A mobile communication device with replaceable function modules includes a main body and an externally connected device. The main body serves as a central member, and has a main hybrid joint including an electrical contact and a magnetic joint. The main hybrid joint of the main body is joined to a device hybrid joint of the externally connected device, so as to realize the function thereof. When joined together, the main body activates a functional module of the externally connected device functional module. In addition, the main body and the externally connected device are further joined through the magnetic joints. Therefore, when separated by accidentally falling onto the ground, the mobile communication device can be rejoined through the magnetic joints, and thus it is unnecessary to worry about the unavailability due to the break-down of the joint portion.

    Abstract: A Plasma Display Panel (PDP) apparatus, system and method, includes a circuit framework structure, chassis structure, panel structure, TCP structure, at least one thermal pad structure and an insulating structure. An integrated circuit is coupled to at least one thermal pad structure and the TCP structure, and the circuit framework structure is disposed external to the TCP structure. Therefore, efficient dissipation of heat that is generated during operation of the PDP structures may be obtained. In addition, the amount of accumulated heat in the PDP structure may be significantly reduced due the PDP apparatus and structure configuration, thereby increasing the PDP operational life.

    Abstract: The present application describes a system and method for manufacturing a plasma display panel. According to an embodiment, the plasma display panel includes display cells formed between a front substrate and a rear substrate. The display cells are filed with a gaseous mixture by placing the front and rear substrates inside an inner cavity of a processing chamber before the front and rear substrates are sealed together. The processing chamber is sealed after the front and rear substrates are placed inside the inner cavity of the processing chamber. The gaseous impurities are removed from the display cells and the inner cavity of the processing chamber is filled with a discharge gas. The discharge gas flows into the display cells through the lateral sides of the plasma display panel assembly. After the display cells are filed with the discharge gas, the front and rear substrates are sealed together inside the inner cavity of the processing chamber.

In speech recognition, optimal equalization factors for feature vectors of a plurality of speech frames corresponding to each probability density function in a speech model are determined based on the plurality of speech frames of the input speech and the speech model. The parameters of the speech model are adapted by the optimal equalization factor and a bias compensation vector, which is corresponding to and retrieved by the optimal equalization factor.     Abstract: A bicycle shifter includes a base having an annular space and first teeth and second teeth defined in the annular space. A tube is fixed to a center of the base. A first rotation member and a second rotation member are installed in the tube and respectively have a first recess and a second recess. An elastic member is restricted in a space defined between the first and second recesses. The elastic member includes two opposite first and second elastic portions which protrude out from the first and second rotation members. The first and second elastic portions are engaged with the first and second teeth, respectively. When rotating the handle connected with the first rotation member, the first elastic portion moves over the first teeth, the second elastic portion simultaneously moves over the second teeth.

    Abstract: An ambient temperature curable hydrophilic PU oligomer includes a PU pre-polymer having a hydrophilic center group and a curable terminated group. The ambient temperature curable hydrophilic PU oligomer includes the moisture-curable hydrophilic PU oligomer such as isocyanate-terminated PU pre-polymer and free-radical curable hydrophlic PU oligomer. The isocyanate-terminated PU pre-polymer is synthesized by mixing at least one multi-isocyanate, at least one polyol and one or more diol monomer with hydrophilic group. The acrylate-terminated PU oligomer is synthesized by adding 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA) into the isocyanate-terminated hydrophilic PU pre-polymer. Either acrylate- or isocyanate-terminated PU oligomer can be applied on a textile or a glass surface with a thin-layer coating technology. The curing reactions of these hydrophilic thin-layer coatings are carried out with moisture or UV-radiation, respectively, at ambient temperature. These moisture-cured or UV-radiation cured hydrophilic PU coating has water-resistant properties and the hydrophilic characters remain unchanged.
