摘要： Polymeric aerogels, articles made from the polymeric aerogels and methods of making the polymeric aerogels are provided. The aerogels are made e.g. from crosslinkable monomers such as isocyanate monomers or phenolic monomers and a filler comprising crosslinkable hydroxyl groups. The filler may be natural (e.g. wood flour) or synthetic. The aerogels and products made therefrom exhibit low thermal conductivity and are mechanically strong. Due to their physical properties, these materials are used as e.g. building envelope components, such as walls, roofs and frames, to improve the thermal performance thereof, and may be used in a variety of other applications such as sound and insulation barriers in mechanical equipment, cryogenic containers, etc.

摘要： A continuous process forms a unitary mat on a line having at least two conveyors spaced from each other. The process includes combining the isocyanate, an isocyanate catalyst, and a plurality of lignocellulosic particles to form a mixture and a self-polymerization product of the isocyanate in-situ in the mixture. The process also includes forming the unitary mat from the mixture on a first conveyer and transferring the unitary mat from the first conveyor to a second conveyor across a predetermined distance while maintaining structural integrity of the unitary mat. The lignocellulosic particles have a moisture content of 0.5 to 30 weight percent of water. Moreover, the continuous process is free of a step of adding water to the isocyanate, the isocyanate catalyst, the lignocellulosic particles, and/or the unitary mat.

摘要： A composite wood product in accordance with a particular embodiment of the present technology includes a composite substrate and a sealant disposed within a surface portion of the substrate. The substrate includes wood and a binder. The sealant includes photoresponsive molecules present within the surface portion of the substrate at an average concentration greater than 1000 parts per million. In response to a 120-day exposure at 7 inches separation distance to a UV lamp with a UVA (315-400 nm) output of 13.6 W and a UVB (280-315 nm) output of 3.0 W, a CIELab b* value of the substrate decreases by a first amount, a CIELab b* value of the sealant increases by a second amount, and a CIELab b* value of the overall wood product decreases by an amount less than the first amount, increases by an amount less than the second amount, or is unchanged.

摘要： The present invention relates to a two-component urethane resin composition for a polishing pad including a base resin containing an isocyanate group-terminated urethane prepolymer (A) and a curing agent containing an isocyanate group reactive compound (B), and characterized in that the prepolymer (A) is a prepolymer having an isocyanate group equivalent of 250 to 700 and being produced by reacting a polyisocyanate (a1) with an aromatic polyester polyol (a2) and a polyether polyol (a3) which are used as polyol components in combination at a mass ratio of (a2)/(a3)=5/95 to 70/30, and the aromatic polyester polyol (a2) has 2 to 11 aromatic rings in its molecular chain, and also relates to a polyurethane polishing pad using the resin composition and a method for producing a polyurethane polishing pad.
