    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE), that is configured for demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling, may receive a control message that schedules first and second sets of repetitions of an uplink transmission. The UE may determine a phase coherency configuration to be applied for DMRS transmissions corresponding to each set of repetitions. The phase coherency configuration may be determined based on a phase coherency capability of the UE, and the phase coherency configuration may specify that phase coherency is to be maintained for one or more of the first set of repetitions separate from one or more of the second set of repetitions. The UE may transmit the first set of repetitions with a first set of demodulation reference signals and the second set of repetitions with a second set of demodulation reference signals in accordance with the phase coherency configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive control signaling indicating a first set of thresholds corresponding to a first set of reference signal densities and a second set of thresholds corresponding to a second set of reference signal densities. The first set of thresholds may be associated with enabled uplink demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling, and the second set of thresholds may be associated with disabled uplink DMRS bundling. The UE may select a reference signal density from the first set or the second set based on a DMRS bundling status and map reference signaling (e.g., a DMRS, a phase tracking reference signal (PTRS), or both) to a set of resources based on the reference signal density. Uplink channel repetitions may occur in disjoint symbols and in such cases, DMRS bundling may be activated when PTRSs between repetitions meet a threshold.

    Abstract: During positioning of a user equipment (UE), downlink (DL) positioning reference signals (PRS) transmitted by one or more transmission reception point (TRP) in a wireless communication system may be preempted or punctured by higher priority transmissions, such as ultra-reliable low-latency traffic (URLLC). A PRS preemption indication (PI) may be provided to a UE by a serving TRP identifying one or more TRPs affected by preemption. The PRS PI may further identify the time domain and frequency domain of the preempted DL PRS transmissions. The PRS PI may identify the time domain, e.g., based on a number of PRS symbols between two monitoring occasions, wherein only PRS symbols that contain downlink positioning reference signals associated with the group of TRPs are counted. The PRS PI may identify the frequency domain by identifying at least one of four or more frequency sub-bands of the preempted DL PRS transmissions.

A user equipment (UE) receives a first control message indicating a codeblock group (CBG) scheduling configuration for scheduling CBG-based uplink communications, where the CBG scheduling configuration includes a first mapping configuration associated with uplink communications including a single codeword and a second mapping configuration associated with uplink communications including multiple codewords. The UE receives a second control message scheduling an uplink message including a set of CBGs, where the uplink message is associated with a first codeword, a second codeword, or both. The UE then transmits the uplink message in accordance with the CBG scheduling configuration, where the set of CBGs are mapped to one of the first or second codeword in accordance with the first mapping configuration, or where the set of CBGs are mapped to the first and second codewords in accordance with the second mapping configuration.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may report, to a base station, a capability of the UE to support interleaving physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) messages. The base station may schedule two or more PUSCH transmissions having temporally overlapping durations based on the reported capability of the UE, and the UE may transmit interleaved PUSCH messages scheduled by the base station. In some cases, demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling may be enabled for PUSCH transmissions. A UE may be incapable of both performing DMRS bundling for PUSCH transmissions and transmitting interleaved PUSCH transmissions. In some case, a UE may disable DMRS bundling, drop a scheduled PUSCH transmission, transmit PUSCH messages sequentially (e.g., not interleaved), and/or indicate an error to the base station if the UE receives uplink grants scheduling two or more PUSCH transmissions having temporally overlapping durations.
