    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify a multi-radio access technology (multi-RAT) dual connectivity (DC) (MR-DC) capable cell. The UE may assign a priority to the MR-DC capable cell based at least in part on whether information indicating whether dual connectivity is supported for the UE in a tracking area (TA) is available, the information indicating whether dual connectivity is supported for the UE in the TA, whether system information block (SIB) information indicating frequency bands supported by a network for MR-DC operation cell is available, or MR-DC connectivity information indicating whether at least one frequency band is available to support MR-DC operation. The UE may perform a cell selection procedure or a cell reselection procedure based at least in part on the priority assigned to the MR-DC capable cell. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described that provide for cell selection or reselection at a user equipment (UE) based on cell selection preference criteria of the UE. The UE may receive a set of cell selection criteria that provides a priority order for cell selection based on one or more cell features, cell types, or combinations thereof. The UE, based on one or more signal measurements of available cells and the cell selection criteria, may select one of the available cells for communications. The UE may also maintain a feature cell database in which a number of cells and an associated feature mask may be stored and used to identify cells having features or types associated with the cell selection criteria for use in cell prioritization. Cell selection criteria may be used for cell selection/reselection procedures, mobility procedures, or any combinations thereof.

    Abstract: A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus selects an LTE serving cell and a non-LTE serving cell. Measurement objects corresponding thereto are identified based on a review of broadcasted system information and historical information relating to prior serving cells. The apparatus identifies measurement objects from other radio access technologies (RATs) (WCDMA, CDMA, GSM). The remaining measurement objects may be identified based on measurement identifiers. The apparatus performs wireless measurements based on the selected serving cells and identified measurement objects. The resulting measurements are transmitted to the network for use in determining channel conditions.

    Abstract: When a user equipment is performing a packet-switched handover from a source radio access technology (RAT) to target RAT (such as Long Term Evolution) in connected mode, the UE may indicate a UTRA RAT capability based on an operator of the source RAT or an operator of the target RAT.
