    Abstract: Modular digital motion camera systems are disclosed. Individual modules may be removed from the system and replaced, such as to benefit from upgraded technology, while preserving the remaining modules in the system. The modules may be disassembled and reconstructed to convert the physical form of the camera, such as between ENG configurations, DSLR configurations and studio configurations. Universal lens mount modules are provided, to enable use of lens systems from a variety of commercial manufacturers.

    Abstract: Some embodiments provide for a video projector system having a light engine, a video processing engine, and an optical engine. The light engine can provide narrow-band laser light to the optical engine module which modulates the laser light according to video signals received from the video processing engine. Some embodiments provide for a scanning system in the optical engine configured to scan light across one or more modulating elements from two or more colors. The light from two or more colors can be scanned across the modulating element such that the two or more colors are incident at different locations on the element at a particular time. Systems and methods for reducing speckle are presented in conjunction with the modular laser projector system.

    Abstract: In one embodiment, a camera includes an image sensor within a camera housing that converts light entering the camera housing through an optical filter into digital image data. The optical filter can have a variable opacity. A processor in communication with the image sensor identifies operation settings for the optical filter and adjusts an opacity level of the optical filter over an exposure period in accordance with the operation settings for the optical filter. In addition, the processor modifies values of the digital image data based at least on the operation settings for the optical filter.
