摘要： The present invention is a method and apparatus for non-invasive, real-time monitoring of the autonomic nervous systems. The present invention allows for monitoring of the autonomic nervous system using spectral analysis of both heart rate and respiratory signals. A preferred embodiment uses short-time Fourier transform (STFT) with a novel modified Bartlett windowing scheme in real-time so that the dynamic interactions between the sympathetic and parasympathetic divisions of the autonomic nervous system can be independently monitored. In addition, a preferred embodiment of the present invention uses the same techniques to monitor other biological or physiological data, including continuous blood pressure.

Each length of track includes (a) a plurality of track bases, each track base extending between a first base end and a second base end, being formed with a rail channel on a top of the track base and a recess on a bottom of the track base, and including a plurality of elongated holes extending through each of the plurality of track bases, (b) a plurality of track rails, each including a first rail end and a second rail end and being disposed in the rail channel with the first rail end projecting beyond the first base end thereby to define a rail projection and with the second rail end being recessed from the second base end thereby to cause the channel to define a rail projection socket in the track base, and (c) a coupling member disposed in the recess of the track base, the coupling member joining the first base end of one base to the second base end of another base by being fastened through a track base to at least one of the plurality of track rails.

摘要： Compositions, articles and methods are provided for supplying fabric care benefits to clothing or fabrics in an automated washing machine and by manual washing. The fabric care compositions preferably have less than about 5% detergent surfactants, more preferably less than 3%, even more preferably less than 1% and are most preferably free of detergent surfactants. Similarly, the fabric care compositions preferably have less than about 5% fabric softener actives, more preferably less than 3%, even more preferably less than 1% and are most preferably free of detergent surfactants. The laundry articles can take a variety of forms in a variety of physical states all of which will rapidly dispense a unitized amount of one or more selected fabric care agents to a wash and/or rinse bath solution during the laundering process under a variety of conditions. The invention also pertains to laundry kits that contain a variety of such articles and instructions concerning their use. Likewise, methods for preparing a customized laundry solution to obtain a specific fabric care benefit selected based on the user's personal preferences and/or the fabric care needs of the fabrics being laundered are also provided. Further, the present invention also concerns methods for assisting a consumer in identifying the unitized articles to be used in preparing a laundry solution that will impart desired fabric care benefits as well as merchandising displays for dispensing the articles, assembling customized laundry kits and instructing the consumer on the selection and use of laundry articles.
