    Abstract: A smart gateway platform leverages pre-defined industrial expertise to identify limited subsets of available industrial data deemed relevant to a desired business objective, and to collect and model this relevant data to apply useful constraints on subsequent artificial intelligence or machine learning analytics applied to the data. This approach can reduce the data space to which AI analytics are applied and assist data analytic systems to more quickly derive valuable insights and business outcomes. In some embodiments, the smart gateway platform can operate within the context of a multi-level industrial analytic system, feeding pre-modeled data to one or more AI or machine learning systems executing on one or more different levels of an industrial enterprise. The multi-level industrial analytic system can also further refine modeled industrial data as the data moves upward through the system (e.g., from the device level to higher levels).

    Abstract: An industrial security policy configuration system generates and implements security policies for industrial automation systems based on design data for the industrial systems generated by device manufacturers, system integrators, original equipment manufacturers, or the owners of the industrial assets during the design of the industrial systems. the collected design data to a security rule set defining device-level communication privileges. The system translates the collected design data to a security rule set defining device-level communication privileges, which are then translated to a comprehensive set of security policies customized to the requirements of the industrial systems represented by the design data. By leveraging the rich set of available design data to identify or infer security requirements and generate suitable security configurations, the system can mitigate the need to manually configure security policies based on human judgments regarding normal and abnormal network traffic.

    Abstract: A method executable by at least one processor includes receiving image data representative of an industrial equipment assembly, identifying properties associated with the industrial equipment assembly based on the image data, identifying a set of industrial equipment assemblies associated with the industrial equipment assembly based on the properties associated with the industrial equipment assembly and data stored in a database, and categorizing the set of industrial equipment assemblies based on the data associated with the industrial equipment assemblies. The method also includes generating an inquiry based on the categorization of the set of industrial equipment assemblies, presenting the inquiry via an electronic display, receiving information responsive to the inquiry and associated with the industrial equipment assembly, identifying a subset of industrial equipment assemblies based on the information, and presenting a visualization associated with the subset of industrial equipment assemblies via the electronic display.
