    Abstract: An example system includes a first plurality of nacelles located on a first side of an aircraft, wherein each nacelle of the first plurality of nacelles includes an electric motor coupled to a propulsor, wherein an outboard nacelle of the first plurality of nacelles includes an electrical energy storage system (ESS) coupled to a first electrical bus; and a second plurality of nacelles located on a second side of the aircraft, wherein each nacelle of the second plurality of nacelles includes an electric motor coupled to a propulsor, wherein an outboard nacelle of the second plurality of nacelles includes an ESS coupled to a second electrical bus.

    Abstract: A power conversion system includes a first switch configured to be connected between a first phase of a polyphase alternating current (AC) power source and an electrical load and a first diode configured to be connected between the first phase of the polyphase AC power source and the electrical load, the diode configured to conduct a current from the AC power source to the electrical load. The power conversion system also includes a control unit configured to interface with the first switch to close, responsive to the occurrence of a short circuit fault, the first switch during a negative current portion of the AC cycle of the first phase of the polyphase AC power source and open, responsive to the occurrence of the short circuit fault, the first switch during a positive current portion of the AC cycle of the first phase of the polyphase AC power source.

    Abstract: A power connector spacer system includes a non-conducting body for insertion into a receptacle of a male power connector in place of a corresponding female power connector. The body may include a latch dimensioned and configured to detachable couple with an interior surface of the receptacle of the male power connector. The body may also include a flange dimensioned to abut a rim of the receptacle, and non-conducting passageways extending through the body from the proximate end to a distal end. Each of the passageways may be dimensioned to receive and isolate one of a plurality of power pins included in the receptacle of the male power connector, and a respective end of each of the power pins may be disposed in respective passageways away from the distal end of the body for isolated detection of high voltage electric power by contact with a meter probe in respective the passageways.

    Abstract: A system for control of a torque developed by an electric machine, based on a rotary position of a rotary component. The rotation of the rotary component is dependent on a rotation of a rotary shaft of the electric machine. The system utilizes a rotary position sensor to detect specific positions of the rotary component and allows altering the torque of the electric machine based on the specific rotary positions. The system allows altering the torque when a specific gear tooth of a downstream or upstream gear is in a contact position with another meshing component. The electric machine may be configured to operate as an electric motor driving a gearbox or an electric generator driven by a gearbox.
