Abstract:
A cryogenic refrigerator includes a first refrigerant tube and a second refrigerant tube each comprising two tubes that are arranged on a cooling stage substantially parallel to each other and communicate with each other through a gas passage formed in the cooling stage. Phase differences are provided to oscillating gas pressures in the first and second refrigerant tubes, to cancel vibration of the cooling stage. Thus, the cryogenic refrigerator can be provided which can effectively reduce the vibration of the cooling stage caused by the oscillating gas pressure and can reduce the size thereof.
Abstract:
Various apparatuses, methods, computer programs, and other systems are disclosed for facilitating testing of a module. In embodiment, a method is provided that comprises the steps of creating a plurality of tasks in a computer system, each of the tasks comprising a list of commands that are sent to a plurality of test devices, the test devices comprising the module to be tested and at least one controlled device interfacing with the module during a test of an operation of the module. In addition, the tasks are organized according to a multi-level hierarchy. The tasks are executed according to an order inherent in the multi-level hierarchy, wherein the execution of each task entails communicating the commands of each task to a respective one of the test devices.
Abstract:
Polypeptides comprising all or part of a variant integrin α subunit A domain or a variant integrin β subunit A-like domain are described. In solution or in membrane-associated form, the A domain or the A-like domain of the polypeptides of the invention exists predominantly in a high affinity conformation. In the polypeptides of the invention, referred to as variant integrin polypeptides, a crucial isoleucine residue (described in greater detail below) is absent. The isoleucine can be either deleted or replaced with different amino acids residue, preferably a smaller or less hydrophobic amino acid residue, e.g., alanine or glycine. Because the variant integrin polypeptides of the invention exist in solution or in membrane-associated form predominantly in a high affinity conformation, they are useful in screening assays for the identification of molecules that bind to (and/or mediate the activity of) an integrin. They are also useful for generating antibodies, e.g., monoclonal antibodies, which bind to the high affinity form of an integrin. Some such antibodies recognize an epitope that is either not present or not accessible on an integrin that is in a lower affinity conformation. The variant integrin polypeptides of the invention can be derived from any integrin α subunit or any integrin β subunit and could be used therapeutically. The variant integrin polypeptides preferably include a ligand-binding portion of an A-domain or an A-like domain.

Abstract:
A combined process of low degree solvent deasphalting and delayed coking, which comprises feeding a deasphalting stock and a solvent into an extractor and making the yield of the deasphalted oil 70 wt %-95 wt %, and introducing a part or all of the deasphalted oil and optionally a conventional coking stock into a delayed coker. This process increases the yield of liquid products, removes the heavy asphaltene which is prone to coke, extends the run length of the delayed coker, and at the same time, lowers the content of impurities in coke, enlarges the sources of the stocks for producing the needle coke.
Abstract:
A similarity between a pattern distribution of selected state patterns of system state descriptions in a first set of system state descriptions and an average pattern distribution of the selected state patterns of the system state descriptions in a second set of system state description is determined. The similarity is compared with a plurality of such similarities between the pattern distributions within the second set of system state descriptions and the average pattern distribution in the second set of system state descriptions. An abnormal state of the system is determined using this comparison.
Abstract:
The invention relates to compositions and vaccines that include a mutated Bordetella strain for treating or preventing an influenza infection in a mammal. In addition, the invention further provides methods for protecting a mammal against infection by influenza and/or eliciting an immune response against an influenza virus in a mammal using the composition or vaccine.
Abstract:
Described herein are compositions, vaccines, and methods that include use of a mutated Bordetella strain against allergic diseases such as asthma and skin inflammation. Also described are kits. Other compositions, vaccines, and methods are also described.
Abstract:
A method for propagating authentication session information to a plurality of cores of a multi-core device includes establishing, by an authentication virtual server executing on a first core of a device intermediary to at least one client and server, a session for a user, the authentication virtual server authenticating the session. A traffic management virtual server executes on a second core of device, and receives a request to access a server via the session. The traffic management virtual server may identify, responsive to a determination that the session is not stored by the second core, from an identifier of the session that the first core established the session. The second core may send to the first core a request for data for the session identified by the identifier. The second core may receive from the first core a response to the second request identifying whether the session is valid.
