Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a ventilation apparatus including a housing including: an intake flow path provided to draw outdoor air into an indoor space and an discharge flow path provided to discharge indoor air to the outside, a cover covering the housing, a total heat exchanger configured to exchange heat between air flowing in the intake flow path and air flowing in the discharge flow path, and a dehumidification unit including a heat exchanger provided on the intake flow path configured to remove moisture in the air flowing in the intake flow path and a drain tray configured to collect condensate generated from the heat exchanger, wherein the housing includes a first housing including a first hole asymmetrically formed on one surface of the housing with respect to a center line of the one surface extending in a long axis direction and a short axis direction of the one surface and configured to allow the drain tray and the total heat exchanger to be withdrawn from the outside of the housing, and a second housing coupled to the first housing in an up-down direction and including a second hole disposed on an other surface of the housing and having a shape corresponding to the first hole in the up-down direction, wherein the cover includes a first cover forming a lower portion of the cover and a second cover coupled to the first cover in the up-down direction and forming an upper portion of the cover, and wherein one of the first housing and the second housing is covered by the first cover, and an other one of the first housing and the second housing is covered by the second cover.

Abstract: An air conditioner and a method for controlling same are disclosed. An air conditioner according to the disclosure comprises: an indoor unit including an indoor heat exchanger and an indoor fan; an outdoor unit including a compressor; at least one sensor; at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor to execute the instructions to identify a freezing process to form ice-capsules on a surface of the indoor heat exchange according to a first relative humidity sensed through the at least one sensor, control the indoor fan and the compressor to operate in the identified freezing process so that the ice-capsules are formed, identify a thawing process to thaw the formed ice-capsules according to a second relative humidity sensed through the at least one sensor while the indoor fan and the compressor are operating in the identified freezing process, and control the indoor fan to operate in the identified thawing process.

The expansion valve unit includes an expansion valve, a first connection portion configured to connect the expansion valve to the heat exchanger, and a second connection portion configured to connect the expansion valve to the refrigerant pipe. The expansion valve, and one of the first connection portion or the second connection portion are fixed to the bracket.

Abstract: An air conditioner includes a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, an indoor heat exchanger, and a noise reduction device configured to reduce flow noise of a refrigerant. The noise reduction device includes a housing including a refrigerant inlet and a refrigerant outlet, and a plurality of baffles disposed inside the housing. The baffles include a first baffle and a second baffle that partition an inside of the housing into a plurality of spaces in a flow direction of the refrigerant. Each of the first baffle and the second baffle includes a hole through which the refrigerant passes. The holes of the first and second baffles are respectively disposed at centers of the first and second baffles at positions corresponding to each other in the flow direction of the refrigerant.
