    Abstract: An electronic device includes a universal serial bus (USB) port configured to be wiredly attached to an external audio device, a processor operatively connected to the USB port, and a memory operatively connected to the processor. The memory stores a media application to play audio data, and stores instructions that when executed, cause the processor to play the audio data through the media application, sense an event associated with detachment from the external audio device while the audio data is being played, pause playing the audio data, in response to that the event is sensed, identify whether a device the same as the external audio device is attached within a specified time after the event is sensed, and play the audio data, which is paused, through the media application, when the device the same as the external audio device is attached within the specified time.

    Abstract: A method of operating the electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a universal serial bus (USB) connector connectable to an external electronic device including a radio reception circuit configured to receive a radio signal and to convert the received radio signal into a digital signal, and a signal processing circuit configured to generate a sound corresponding to the digital signal based on a control signal transmitted by the electronic device, and a processor. The processor may be configured to: receive information of the external electronic device in response to detecting that the external electronic device is connected to the USB connector, determine whether the external electronic device is capable of processing the radio signal based on the information of the external electronic device, activate a radio framework configured to control a radio reception function of the external electronic device in response to identifying that the external electronic device is capable of processing the radio signal, and control the external electronic device based on the operation of the USB framework, which receives the control signal generated by the radio framework. In addition, various embodiments are possible.

    Abstract: The present application provides an electronic device for preventing a universal serial bus (USB) device from being damaged, and an operating method therefor. The electronic device includes a universal serial bus (USB) connector connectable to at least one of a charging device and a USB device through a dual gender, and at least one processor electrically coupled to the USB connector. The at least one processor is configured to detect a connection of the charging device and the USB device to the electronic device through the USB connector, in response to the connection of the charging device and the USB device to the electronic device, determine a charging voltage satisfying a designated condition, and request the charging device to provide the determined charging voltage through the USB connector.

    Abstract: An electronic device and a tethering method are disclosed. The electronic device includes a housing, and a display exposed through a first portion of the housing. The electronic device also includes an electrical connector exposed through a second portion of the housing, and a wireless communication circuit. The electronic device further includes a first processor operably coupled to the display and the electrical connector and configured to use a first memory address region including a first plurality of addresses. The electronic device also includes a second processor operably coupled to the wireless communication circuit and configured to use a second memory address region including a second plurality of virtual addresses. The electronic device also include an electric circuitry operably coupled to the first processor and the second processor and configured to provide relations between the first plurality of addresses and the second plurality of virtual addresses.
