Abstract: A human-powered vehicle system and a control method are provided that reduce power consumption of a detection device. The human-powered vehicle system includes an electronic controller having at least one processor configured to control a detection device provided at a human-powered vehicle to detect an electromagnetic wave having a frequency that is greater than or equal to 30 GHz and excluding visible light. The at least one processor is configured to control the detection device in at least one of a first mode and a second mode that consumes less power than the first mode.

Abstract: A brake system includes a driving part driven by electric power to brake a rotary body of a human-powered vehicle and an electronic controller configured to control the driving part. The electronic controller has a plurality of control modes including a first mode that drives the driving part in accordance with a user operation and a second mode that does not drive the driving part regardless of the user operation. The electronic controller is configured to switch the plurality of control modes based on setting information related to an input to the human-powered vehicle.

Abstract: A hydraulic operating device for a small vehicle including a bicycle comprises a base member, a mounting structure, an operating member, and a piston. The base member includes a cylinder bore having a cylinder axis. The mounting structure defines a mounting axis linearly extending along the handlebar in a mounting state where the base member is mounted on a handlebar with the mounting structure. The operating member is pivotally coupled to the base member about a first pivot axis between a rest position and an operated position. The cylinder axis is non-perpendicular to the mounting axis as viewed along the first pivot axis in the mounting state. The piston is movably provided in the cylinder bore. The piston is coupled to the operating member to be pulled in response to a pivotal movement of the operating member from the rest position to the operated position.

The hydraulic reservoir includes a hydraulic reservoir tank and a reservoir lid. The hydraulic reservoir tank is fluidly connected to the cylinder bore. The reservoir lid closes a tank opening of the hydraulic reservoir tank. The tank opening defines an opening cross sectional area. The hydraulic reservoir tank defines a tank cross sectional area parallel to the opening cross sectional area. The opening cross sectional area of the tank opening is smaller than the tank cross sectional area of the hydraulic reservoir tank.
