The present disclosure relates to an information processing apparatus and an information processing method that enable recognition of performance required for decoding more accurately. A file of an MP4 file format, in which information for grouping a plurality of partial images which can be independently decoded in a whole image is stored in moov and the encoded partial images are stored in mdat, is generated, and the generated file is stored. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, an information processing apparatus such as an image encoding apparatus or an image decoding apparatus.

The present disclosure relates to an image decoding device capable of recognizing performance necessary for decoding more accurately and a method. Coded data of image data and decoding load definition information for defining a magnitude of a load of a decoding process of a partial region of an image of the image data are acquired; decoding of the acquired coded data is controlled based on the acquired decoding load definition information; and the acquired coded data is decoded according to the controlling. The present disclosure can be applied to an information processing device such as an image coding device that scalably codes image data or an image decoding device that decodes encoded data obtained by scalably coding image data.

The address defined in the access information is an address for controlling a device which images the content.

From 3D data representing a three-dimensional structure, identification information regarding an individual stream of geometry information indicating a geometry of the three-dimensional structure and identification information regarding an individual stream of attribute information indicating an attribute of the three-dimensional structure are generated. A file is generated that includes generated multiple pieces of the identification information. The file is generated in a sample structure specifying boundaries of the geometry information and the attribute information. The present technology may be applied, for example, to a data generation apparatus for generating data for point cloud distribution and to a data reproduction apparatus for point cloud reproduction.

Image data of a plurality of projection directions is generated by projecting 3D data in a plurality of projection directions and converting the 3D data into two-dimensional data, and projection direction information indicating the projection direction of each piece of the image data is generated as projection metadata. Further, the projection direction information includes additional projection direction identification information that indicates that the image data has been generated by projection in additional projection directions. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a data generation apparatus that generates data for delivering a point cloud.

The present disclosure relates to a content processing apparatus, a content processing method, and a program that are capable of suitably editing content to be distributed. An online editing unit stores content data for live distribution in an editing buffer, corrects, if the content data includes a problem part, the content data within the editing buffer, replaces the content data with the corrected content data, and distributes the corrected content data. An offline editing unit reads the content data from a saving unit and edits the content data on a plurality of editing levels. The present technology is applicable to, for example, a distribution system that distributes content by MPEG-DASH.
