Abstract: There is provided a delivery apparatus, a delivery method, and a program that are capable of providing live delivery with lower delay. An extended function of independently specifying a duration of DASH segments and a placement of an SAP is used to define the URL so as to make a request for a whole of a segment sequence including a series of DASH segments consecutively arranged. Further, the URL is defined so as to make a request for a predetermined number of DASH segments from a random access point, including a random-accessible DASH segment and subsequent DASH segments in the same segment sequence. The present technology is applicable, for example, to a content delivery system that provides live delivery by using MPEG-DASH.
