Abstract: An image processing device for a mass produced display device includes an image obtaining capture to provide a single image frame including intensity values for respective coordinates of a display surface of the display device, and an image correcting unit to correct the intensity values of the single image frame of the display surface by using correction amount values with the corresponding correction direction values to provide a de-blurring image frame for the display surface, wherein the image correcting unit includes a correction amount calculating unit to calculate the correction amount values for the respective coordinates by using first derivative values with respect to the intensity values of the single image frame, and a correction direction calculating unit to calculate the correction direction values for the respective coordinates by using second derivative values with respect to the intensity values of the single image frame.

Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel, a driving controller and a data driver. The driving controller processes input image data according to a variable input frequency and generates a data signal having a varied frame length. The data driver converts the data signal into a data voltage and outputs the data voltage to the display panel. The driving controller determines a variable frequency mode and generates an asymmetric data signal including a positive data signal and a negative data signal which are asymmetric with respect to a common voltage for a same grayscale value in the variable frequency mode.

Abstract: A controller includes a bit shifter and a stain compensator. The bit shifter may determine a bit shift value corresponding to a stain compensation value according to an area of a display panel. The bit shift value represents a quantity of integer bits and a quantity of decimal bits. At least one of the quantity of integer bits and the quantity of decimal bits corresponds to a quantity of stain compensation steps. The stain compensator may compensate a grayscale value of input image data using the stain compensation value and the bit shift value to generate compensated image data.
