    Abstract: A liquid crystal display includes first and second subpixel electrodes, a common electrode and first and second reference voltage lines. The first and second subpixel electrodes are electrically connected through first and second switching elements to a data line supplied with a data voltage. The first subpixel electrode is electrically connected through a third switching element to one of the first and second reference voltage lines. A polarity of the first reference voltage is different from a polarity of the second reference voltage with respect to the common voltage supplied to the common electrode. Liquid crystal molecules are disposed between the first subpixel electrode and the common electrode and between the second subpixel electrode and the common electrode.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a display device, including: a substrate including a pixel area and a peripheral area; pixels provided in the pixel area as a plurality of pixel rows and a plurality of pixel columns; data lines configured to provide a data signal; scan lines configured to provide a scan signal; first power lines configured to provide a power source to the pixel columns; and a second power line connected to the first power lines and disposed in the peripheral area. A scan line connected to an ith pixel row may apply a scan signal to the ith pixel row, and a branched line branched from the scan line may apply an initialization signal to a kth pixel row (k≠i). A branched point of the scan line is disposed between a pixel most adjacent to the second power line of the ith pixel row and the second power line.

    Abstract: A display device includes first and second initialization voltage sources and first and second pixel circuits. The first initialization voltage source provides a first initialization voltage. The second initialization voltage source provides a second initialization voltage less than the first initialization voltage. The first pixel circuit includes a first organic light emitting diode. The second pixel circuit includes a second organic light emitting diode with an organic material having a band gap different from a band gap of an organic material in the first organic light emitting diode. The first pixel circuit is coupled to the first initialization voltage source and the second initialization voltage source. The second pixel circuit is coupled to a single initialization voltage source.
