    Abstract: A method may include generating an estimated time offset based on a reference signal in a communication system, and adjusting a transform window in the communication system based on the estimated time offset, wherein the estimated time offset is generated based on machine learning. Generating the estimated time offset may include applying the machine learning to one or more channel estimates. Generating the estimated time offset may include extracting one or more features from one or more channel estimates, and generating the estimated time offset based on the one or more features. Extracting the one or more features may include determining a correlation between a first channel and a second channel. The correlation may include a frequency domain correlation between the first channel and the second channel. Extracting the one or more features may include extracting a subset of a set of features of the one or more channel estimates.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods of manufacturing same, systems, and methods for blind detection of a numerology of a received signal are described. In one aspect, a method is provided for a user equipment (UE) to blindly detect the numerology of a received signal. The method includes correlating cyclic prefix (CP) signals in the received signal in the time domain based on a plurality of hypotheses of subcarrier spacing (SCS); measuring power variation of the received signal in the frequency domain based on the plurality of hypotheses of SCS; and combining weighted results of a correlation of the CP signals in the time domain and the measured power variation in the frequency domain to determine a numerology of the received signal for a corresponding hypothesis of SCS of the plurality of hypotheses.

    Abstract: Methods and an apparatus are provided. A first method includes receiving an estimated first arrival path (FAP); processing the estimated FAP; providing a rounding operation on the processed estimated FAP to generate an adjustment value for adjusting a fast Fourier transform (FFT) window; determining a quantization error based on the processed estimated FAP; and summing the quantization error to the processed estimated FAR A second method includes receiving an estimated FAP; determining a weighted average of the estimated FAP; processing the weighted average of the estimated FAP; providing a rounding operation on the processed weighted average of the estimated FAP to generate an adjustment value for adjusting an FFT window; determining a delayed STR adjustment based on the processed weighted average of the estimated FAP in a previous time slot; and summing the delayed STR adjustment to the processed weighted average of the estimated FAP in a current time slot.

    Abstract: A method of signal demodulation includes receiving, by a signal receiver, a first signal modulated by a symbol corresponding to a point in a constellation; generating, by the signal receiver and on the basis of the first signal, a first initial modulation estimate; identifying, by the signal receiver and on the basis of the first initial modulation estimate, a row or column of an initial candidate lookup table, the row or column corresponding to a region of the constellation; reading, by the signal receiver, from the row or column of the initial candidate lookup table one or more first initial candidate points of the constellation, at least one among the one or more first initial candidate points being more distant, from a center of the region, than a point, in the constellation, not among the one or more first initial candidate points, and demodulating, by the signal receiver and on the basis of the one or more first initial candidate points, the first signal.
