A portable device which simultaneously executes a plurality of applications by using a multi-screen and a method of operating a multi-application thereof. The method involves receiving an input according to a user selection of a multi-application icon for executing a plurality of applications in respective windows simultaneously. Based on the selected multi-application icon, the applications and respective windows are identified. Execution images respectively associated with the applications are then displayed on the windows simultaneously.

A method and apparatus for switching a data add region between a mail body region within an email and a file attach region within the email are provided. The method includes selecting, in response to a user input, one of data of an attached file from the file attach region and mail body data from the mail body regiont; receiving a data add region switching request; determining a data add region in response to the data add region switching request; and adding the selected data in the determined data add region.

The present invention relates to an electronic device and a payment method using the same. According to various examples of the present invention, the electronic device comprises: a housing; a touch screen display exposed through a part of the housing; at least one wireless communication circuit positioned inside the housing; a processor positioned inside the housing and is electrically connected to the touch screen display and the wireless communication circuit; and a memory positioned inside the housing and is electrically connected to the processor, wherein the memory stores a call application including a first user interface and a payment application including a second user interface, wherein the memory stores instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to: display the first user interface of the call application on the touch screen display; receive a phone number or an indication of the phone number through the first user interface from a user; make a request for a call connection to the phone number through the wireless communication circuit; receive data associated with the phone number from a first server through the wireless communication circuit while the request for the call connection is being made, the data including a currently available item for a selected period; display the item on the first user interface while the request for the call connection is being made; display an input button associated with the payment application on the first user interface while the request for the call connection is being made; receive an input for selecting the input button through the first user interface; and execute the payment application program.

A system according to an embodiment includes: a first electronic device which includes a wireless communication circuit, a microphone, and a speaker, at least one processor which is a part of the first electronic device or remotely communicates with the electronic device; and at least one memory which resides on the first electronic device or on the outside of the first electronic device while operatively connected with the at least one processor, wherein the memory can store instructions which, when executed, cause the processor to: receive through the microphone a voice input including a request for performing a task that uses the first electronic device and is related to the transmission of data to a second external device; extract at least one parameter from the voice input; perform the task by using the wireless communication circuit; and transmit at least a portion of the at least one parameter to the second external device.
