In some implementations, a user equipment (UE) and method to manage a rejected network slice selection assistance information (NSSAI) is disclosed. The method may include receiving, from a network, an activate default EPS bearer context request message with a Single-NSSAI (S-NSSAI) and a Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN) identifier (ID). In addition, the method may include removing the S-NSSAI from a rejected NSSAI list for a current PLMN.

Abstract: A method for handling data, dangling in a new radio (NR) leg of a split bearer, by a user equipment (UE) is disclosed. The method comprises predicting occurrence of NR uplink (UL) leg switch; sending a buffer status report (BSR) pertaining to protocol data units (PDUs) in radio link control (RLC) layer and media access control (MAC) layer in the NR leg based on predicting the occurrence of NR UL leg switch; and initiating recovery of dangling PDUs in the NR leg after the occurrence of the NR UL leg switch, wherein the recovery includes sending the dangling PDUs to a long term evolution (LTE) leg of the split bearer.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods and systems for prioritizing cell selection for availing LADN services. A UE prioritizes cells for selection based on availability of LADN services in the cells. For handover, a base station of a cell, providing LADN services to the UE, prioritizes target cells that provide LADN services that are being currently availed by the UE for ensuring LADN service continuity. The base station initiates addition of secondary cells that provide additional LADN services that are intended by the UE. The UE can predict if a paging message is relevant to a LADN service and send serving requests to the serving cell or other cells to avail the LADN service. The UE detects relay UEs providing LADN services and prioritizes the relay UEs for selection based on availability of LADN services. The UE buffers data if the UE is located at an edge of a LADN service area.

The wireless network may maintain the count accurately even though the PDU session is a MA PDU session.
