Abstract:
An air conditioner (AC) indoor unit includes a housing having an inlet and an outlet; a heat exchanger arranged inside the housing; a blower fan for sucking in air at the inlet to be subject to heat exchange with the heat exchanger, and discharging the heat-exchanged air out of the outlet; and an air flow control device for controlling an air flow discharged from the outlet by sucking in air around the outlet. The AC indoor unit may control the direction of a discharged air flow without a conventional blade structure, thereby increasing an amount of discharged air, reducing circulation noise, and enabling design differentiation.
Abstract:
An air conditioner according to an aspect of the present invention includes a housing arranged to be mounted on or embedded in a ceiling, a cover panel coupled to a lower portion of the housing, the cover panel including an inlet and an outlet, a blower fan configured to draw in air into the housing through the inlet and discharge air out of the housing through the outlet and a blade configured to open and close the outlet, the blade including a plurality of through holes to control the air discharged out of the housing through the outlet while the blade closes the outlet. With this structure, the air conditioner can discharge air in various ways by varying the wind direction, the wind speed, and the air amount of the discharged air.
Abstract:
A particle sensing device and an air conditioner including a sensor has a sensing path through which air passes, a flow path housing which accommodates the sensor and guides air, and a flow path switching device to all air suctioned from the outside is guided to the sensing path, or some of the air suctioned from the outside and moving flows back in an obliquely upward direction and flows into the sensing path.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a plurality of guide blades configured to guide air discharged through a discharge port, and an air conditioner having the same. The guide blade includes an eddy induction groove that is concaved from at least one surface of the guide blade, and a plurality of protrusions each protruding from an inner surface of the eddy induction groove in the form of a polypyramid, to generate eddy currents of various directions, so that the guide blade may cope with air flow of various flow speeds and wind directions.
Abstract:
An indoor unit of an air conditioner having improved structures of suction, discharge and/or flow passages which may increase operation efficiency, reduce noises and realize a compact size. The indoor unit includes a housing comprising a front panel and a rear panel coupled to a rear portion of the front panel, at least one discharge outlet exposed to a front of the front panel, at least one suction inlet formed in the rear panel at a position corresponding to the discharge outlet, at least one heat exchanger disposed at a front portion of the suction inlet to absorb heat from air introduced through the suction inlet or transfer heat to the air introduced through the suction inlet, and at least one diagonal flow fan disposed between the heat exchanger and the discharge outlet to suction air passing through the heat exchanger and discharge the air through the discharge outlet.
