Abstract: An electronic device and a method of reducing power consumption in an electronic device are provided. The electronic device includes a display device configured to display a color screen, a battery, at least one processor electrically connected to the display device and the battery, and a memory electrically connected to the at least one processor, wherein the memory stores instructions to allow the at least one processor to monitor a charging level of the battery, to convert at least some areas of the color screen to be displayed on the display device to black and white in response to one of a monitored battery charging level and a user input and to reverse at least a part of the areas converted to black and white when the instructions are executed.

Abstract: The present document relates to a user intention-based gesture recognition method and apparatus, and an electronic device comprises one or more sensors, a memory, and a processor, wherein the processor can be configured to check a distance between the electronic device and the user by using the one or more sensors, detect a user gesture by operating in a first gesture mode on the basis of the checked distance satisfying a designated range by using the one or more sensors, detect the user gesture by operating in a second gesture mode on the basis of the checked distance deviating from the designated range, and perform an operation corresponding to a valid gesture on the basis of the detected gesture being a valid gesture. Other various embodiments are possible.

The processor receives a power control signal from an external device, applies a charging current to the conductive coil, based on the power control signal, senses whether a specified event occurs while the charging current is applied, and when the specified event occurs, transmits information for setting a charging power corresponding to the specified event to the external device.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present invention relate to an electronic device having a sensor module performing a plurality of functions, the electronic device comprising: the sensor module comprising a plurality of piezoelectric elements including a plurality of first electrodes and a plurality of second electrodes, a first signal terminal connected to the plurality of first electrodes, a second signal terminal, and a plurality of switches capable of selectively connecting at least some electrodes of the plurality of second electrodes to the second signal terminal; and a control circuit. The control circuit is configured to: in a state where the second signal terminal is connected to the at least some electrodes by means of the plurality of switches, detect a pressure inputted into the sensor module by means of the first signal terminal, by using at least some of the plurality of piezoelectric elements; on the basis of the pressure, in a state where the second signal terminal is connected to the at least some electrodes by means of the plurality of switches, output an ultrasound signal by using at least some of the plurality of piezoelectric elements by means of the first signal terminal; in a state where the second signal terminal is disconnected from the at least some electrodes by means of the plurality of switches, receive the ultrasound signal reflected to an external object, by using at least some of the plurality of piezoelectric elements; and generate biometric information on the external object, at least on the basis of the received ultrasound signal. Thus, when waiting for a user's fingerprint touch, the sensor module operates as a pressure sensor, and when a predetermined pressure due to the user's fingerprint touch is detected, the sensor module can operate as a fingerprint sensor. Various other embodiments are possible.

At least some of the plurality of second conductive terminals are visible from the outside through the at least one transmissive area.

The processor may be further configured to control the electronic device to move using the driving module, based on the first distance being within a second predefined range, such that the electronic device is located within the first predefined range and acquires the information corresponding to the gesture of the user through at least one of the one or more sensors.
