Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of sharing multimedia contents, by a server, including storing the multimedia contents, receiving an establishment request configured to establish one of a plurality of access modes for the multimedia contents from a first terminal, establishing an access mode according to the establishment request for the multimedia contents, receiving an access request for the multimedia contents stored in the server from at least one second terminal, determining whether the at least one second terminal is allowed to access the multimedia message based on the access mode, and transmitting the multimedia contents, wherein the access mode includes at least one of a private mode for access by only the first terminal, a restricted mode for access by the at least one second terminal, and a public mode for access by all terminals.
Abstract:
A method for storing a conversation upon a user's real-time request in a Converged-IP Messaging (CPM) service is provided. The method includes receiving a pager mode message including a dynamic user preference; identifying a setting of the dynamic user preference; and storing the pager mode message in a message storage server, depending on the setting of the dynamic user preference.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method are provided for performing interworking between different messaging services in a Converged Internet Protocol (IP) Messaging (CPM) service. The method includes receiving, by a CPM server, a message generated based on a user input from an arbitrary terminal; requesting, by the CPM server, a presence server to provide presence information corresponding to a recipient of the message; receiving, from the presence server, the presence information that is transmitted in response to the request; deciding a type of a messaging service for interworking based on the presence information; and delivering, by the CPM server, the message to an Interworking Function (IWF) that converts the message according to the decided type of the messaging service.
Abstract:
A method for notifying of an activity of a first user to a second user during a first communication session is provided. The method includes receiving an interrupt when the first user engages in a second activity during the first communication session, encoding an information message by a first device of the first user, after receiving the interrupt, and sending the information message to a second device of the second user.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method of efficiently inviting a subscription to contact information, the method including receiving a subscription invitation request of particular contact information of a first client from the first client; and determining whether a condition for allowing the subscription to the particular contact information is included in the subscription invitation request, and transmitting a subscription request containing address information by which the condition and the particular contact information can be received to a second client when the condition is included. Accordingly, it is possible to provide a communication service at a high speed in a communication system supporting various types of communication services without a waste of resources, power, or memories. Also, it is possible to provide a data transmission/reception method capable of easily and quickly providing a CAB service according to a selection by user's intention.
Abstract:
A method includes creating a plurality of user preference profiles. Each user preference profile includes at least one of a profile format without active user preference profile indication, a profile format including an active user preference profile indication, and a profile format specific to each device of a user. The plurality of user preference profiles are stored in a shared server. One or more user preference profiles corresponding to a plurality of devices are activated. The one or more user preference profiles are provided to an application server. The application server implements preferences included in corresponding user preference profile. A system includes a plurality of devices of the user, a plurality of clients corresponding to the plurality of devices, an application server corresponding to the plurality of clients, and a shared server for storing a plurality of user preference profiles.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for updating personal information in a communication system supporting a Converged Address Book (CAB) service are provided. The apparatus and method includes importing external personal profile information from a non-CAB system, and updating personal information in accordance with a user preference-based synchronization method using the external personal profile information.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a system for automatically adjusting a received view according to mutual positions and view points of image reproducing devices by using the plurality of image reproducing devices and displaying the adjusted view. The view is adjusted without a necessity of manually selecting the view by a user, thereby improving usage convenience, and one scene (for example, a concert hall) is displayed in accordance with view points of several devices at the same time, thereby improving a sense of realism.
Abstract:
A Converged-Internet Protocol (IP) Messaging (CPM) service provisioning method and system are provided including a CPM server. The CPM server includes an eXtension Markup Language (XML) Document Management (XDM) client for sending a request for preference information of a recipient terminal to which the CPM message is to be delivered, and receiving the preference information in response to the request from an XDM server that stores and manages the preference information of the recipient terminal; and an interworking selection entity for determining a non-CPM service to be subjected to interworking depending on the received preference information, and delivering the CPM message to an interworking server that interworks with the determined non-CPM service.
