Abstract: A temperature control system for a vehicle, comprising a main circuit comprising a tubing in which there is provided a coolant, a main circuit pump configured to pump said coolant through the tubing in a first direction. Connected in parallel to the main circuit are first and second sub-circuits for cooling or heating of components connected thereto. In the sub-circuits there are provided first and second pumps that pump coolant through said sub-circuits from a first end to second end at which the respective sub-circuit is connected the main circuit. The first end is upstream the second end as seen in the first direction in the first circuit, and the first end of the first sub-circuit and the first end of the at least one second sub-circuit are joined to a common tubing section which in its turn is connected to the tubing of the main circuit.

Abstract: A cooling system configured to cool a combustion engine (2) and at least one further object (18) in a vehicle (1) includes a main radiator (8), a main radiator bypass line (9) directing coolant past the main radiator (8), a first valve device (6) receiving coolant from a coolant line (5) and directing it to the main radiator line (7) and the main radiator bypass line (9), an auxiliary circuit (14) directing coolant to the further object (13, 28), a main radiator outlet line (7b) directing at least a part of the coolant leaving the main radiator (8) to the auxiliary circuit (14), and a second valve device (20) receiving coolant from the main radiator (11) and/or the main radiator bypass line (9) and directing it to the auxiliary circuit (14) and/or the engine inlet line (3). The auxiliary circuit (14) includes an auxiliary radiator (15) and an auxiliary radiator bypass line (17) directing coolant past the auxiliary radiator (15) which are arranged in an upstream position of the further object (13, 28) in the auxiliary circuit (14) and a bypass valve (18) configured to control the coolant flow through the auxiliary radiator bypass line (17).

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a vehicle in association with a descent, the vehicle having a powertrain comprising: a drive unit configured to provide propulsion power; an auxiliary brake device; and a first cooling circuit comprising a first coolant; wherein the drive unit and the auxiliary brake device are arranged to be selectively connected or disconnected with/from the first cooling circuit, wherein the drive unit has a first maximum temperature and the auxiliary brake device has a second maximum temperature higher than the first maximum temperature, the method comprising: controlling the drive unit to reduce the provided propulsion power when the vehicle is approaching an upcoming descent, which fulfils predetermined criteria; disconnecting the drive unit from the first cooling circuit; connecting the auxiliary brake device with the first cooling circuit; and controlling the auxiliary brake device to brake to vehicle down the descent.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement comprising a waste heat recovery system (WHR-system) and a method for controlling the arrangement. The arrangement comprises an expansion tank having a constant inner volume, first cooling means configured to cool the working fluid in the condenser and a control unit configured to control the first cooling means such that the working fluid is cooled to a desired condensation temperature in the condenser during operation of the WHR system. Abstract: A fan arrangement for a cooling module in a vehicle. During operating conditions when a thermostat (6) in the cooling system is in the partly open position, the method comprises the steps of estimating a desired cooling temperature (T) of a medium in the heat exchanger (18), calculating the coolant flow rate ({dot over (m)}1) through a radiator (7b) and the coolant flow rate ({dot over (m)}2) through a radiator bypass line (9), calculating am coolant flow rate ({dot over (m)}3) and coolant temperature (t3) combination at 10 at which the medium in the heat exchanger (18) is cooled to a desired temperature (T), adjusting the flow regulating mechanism (23) such that coolant at the selected flow rate ({dot over (m)}3) and temperature (t3) combination is directed to the heat exchanger (18).
