    摘要: An infrared thermometer such that the measurand includes no error which may be caused due to the transmission of the heat from an object (especially, an external auditory canal), into which a probe is inserted to the probe, to a waveguide and an infrared sensor. In a temperature detecting section where an infrared sensor (40), a waveguide (60) and a temperature sensor (68) are provided in a probe (20), a second thermally conductive tube (34) is so provided between the probe (20) and the waveguide (60) as to be heat insulated from the waveguide (60) and the infrared sensor (40). Thus, the heat from the probe (20) is not transmitted to the waveguide (60) and the infrared sensor (40).

    摘要: An electronic clinical thermometer has a probe including a variable-temperature heater and one or more temperature sensors and may also include a heat flux sensor. Physical variables such as temperature, time rate of change in temperature and/or heat flow rate are directly measured at positions on the surface of a patient while being heated by the heater through a thermally insulating member. Such measured values are used to solve a heat transfer equation rewritten as lower-order equations. Measurements may be controlled to be taken at a desired timing such as at specified intervals. The probe for contacting the patient's body may be planar or in an elongated bar-shape.

    摘要: A test sample color comparison device is disclosed which has a casing unit with an insertion slot for inserting a color test sample therein, and a display section for displaying the color test sample adjacent at least one of a plurality of reference color shades, as the reference color shades are successively moved into position adjacent the color test sample by a manipulation wheel. When an operator determines that a reference color shade adjacent the test sample corresponds in color to the color of the test sample, he pushes a switch to cause a readout of stored information corresponding to the reference color shade then adjacent the test sample. Readout of the stored information is based on a bit pattern set by a plurality of converter switches which are turened on and off in different patterns which correspond to the different color shades as the reference color shades are moved into position by the manipulation wheel. An uneven pattern code section moves in association with the manipulatable wheel and actuates the converter switches. A preferred uneven pattern code section is arranged so that all of the converter switches are actuated roughly equally during a full rotation of the manipulatable wheel, and so that only one of the converter switches is switched on or off during incremental movement of the manipulable wheel.
