An electronic part such as a dielectric duplexer or filter is provided which comprises a dielectric ceramic block having a pair of opposite first and second side surfaces and an end surface meeting the first and second side surfaces nearly at right angles, an extension-electrode forming notch formed in the end surface so as to have an open end at the first side surface, a dummy electrode-forming notch formed in the end surface so as to have an open end at the second surface, the extension electrode-forming notch and the dummy electrode-forming notch corresponding in shape and position when observed in the direction in which the first and second side surfaces are opposed, an extension electrode formed in the extension electrode-forming notch, and a dummy electrode formed in the dummy electrode-forming notch. A method of forming an electrode of such an electronic part is also provided.

A magnetic head usable in a reader-writer for reading and writing data which can be magnetically processed. The magnetic head is characterized in that: it comprises a core (1), an exciting coil (2) for exciting the core (1), and a head case (3) for tightly enclosing the core (1) and the exciting coil (2); and a fuse is provided in a part of the exciting coil (2). When the reader-writer in which the magnetic head is incorporated is to be abandoned, the magnetic head can be easily destroyed, thereby enabling the prevention of fraudulent uses, such as the forging, of magnetic cards.
摘要:
An optical recording medium has a data storage section including data tracks and tracking lines formed in the data storage section for reading or writing data. The optical recording medium includes an elongated recording region defined between each two adjacent tracking lines, each of the data recording regions having at least one data track disposed offset from the center of the data recording region. The tracking method for the medium includes establishing a first optical detection region on the medium for detecting the tracking line position relative to the detection region and establishing a second optical detection region on the medium for reading or writing which is positioned in a fixed relationship to the first optical detection region. The first and second optical detection regions are positioned with respect to each other so that when the first optical detection region is tracking the tracking line, the second optical detection region is positioned for reading or writing along the data track at a position laterally offset from the center of the data recording region.
摘要:
A reader/writer apparatus for an optical memory card for reading and/or writing data with respect to the optical memory card having a data storing face, which apparatus comprises a card holder including a carriage carrying and holding the card inserted and transporting the card to a reading or writing position and a feeding mechanism for driving the carriage. The reader/writer of the present invention may further comprise an optical waveguide holder holding an optical waveguide, which is connected, at a base end thereof, to the light emitting and receiving section of a reading head, so that another end of the optical waveguide may oppose a data recording face of the optical memory card. The waveguide holder is moved independently of the movement of the car holder. The reader/writer apparatus of the present invention may further comprise a regulating member for regulating the angular position of the card. With the arrangement, the reading and writing can be effected accurately with respect to an optical memory card of a high density storage. The apparatus may further include a dust removing device.

A reader-writer apparatus for an optical memory card for reading and/or writing data with respect to the optical memory card having a data storing face, which apparatus includes a card holder including a carriage for carrying and holding the card inserted thereon and transporting the card to a reading or writing position and a feeding mechanism for driving the carriage. The reader/writer in another aspect of the present invention includes an optical waveguide holder holding an optical waveguide, which is connected at a base end thereof to the light emitting and receiving section of a reading head, so that another end of the optical waveguide may oppose a data recording face of the optical memory card. The waveguide holder is moved independently of the movement of the card holder. The reader/writer apparatus of the present invention has a regulating member mounted to a stationary portion of the apparatus for regulating the angular position of the card so that reading and writing can be effected accurately with respect to an optical memory card of a high density storage. The apparatus may also include a dust removing device.
摘要:
An optical recording medium which has data tracks and tracking lines juxtaposed with each other in a data recording region so as to write/read data into/from the data tracks, using the tracking lines as a reference. The data recording region is so configured as to have recessed portions and raised portions arranged alternatingly and extending along each other in a direction of data reading/writing. The so formed recessed portions and raised portions provide data tracks. With this configuration, the boundary edges between the respective recessed portions and the respective raised portions are used as tracking lines, so that data can be written in the recessed or raised portions, referring to the boundary edges as tracking lines.

Disclosed is a write-once data writing method for optical recording medium of a type wherein a data track includes a plurality of sectors each having at least a preamble and data. A deceleration region is provided at a position following the last recorded sector on a track including both recorded and blank areas, the length of the deceleration region corresponding to a deceleration time necessary to change the relative moving rate of a writing/reading head with respect to the optical recording medium from one for reading to another for writing, and then additional data is recorded sector by sector at region following said deceleration region. Also, disclosed is an apparatus for achieving the method.
