    摘要: [Object] To prolong the life of a shell type needle roller bearing used e.g. for a support structure for a compressor spindle or for a support structure for a piston pump driving portion, and to lower the acoustic level during use. [Means for solution] A shell type outer ring 2 of a shell type needle roller bearing 1 is formed by a pressing combined with an ironing step, and the lubricating conditions in this ironing step on the outer-diameter ironed surface, which becomes the outer-diameter surface of the outer ring 2, are in a substantially fluid lubricating state so as to restrict the circumferential surface roughness of the inner-diameter surface, the inner-diameter roundness, and the amount of uneven thickness of the tubular portion to predetermined value ranges, thereby prolonging the life of the shell type needle roller bearing and lowering the acoustic level during use.

    摘要: A positioning protrusion 14 is provided in a center of an outer diameter surface of a halved outer ring 11a in both circumferential and axial directions. The positioning protrusion 14 is configured to engage with a housing, which is placed on an outer diameter side of the halved outer ring, to position the halved outer ring 11a with respect to the housing. A protruding portion 17a and a recessed portion 17b are provided in each abutting portions 16a, 16b where a pair of the halved outer rings 11a abut on each other when fitted on a rotary shaft that is supported by a roller bearing. The protruding portion 17a and the recessed portion 17b are configured to mesh with each other to restrict axial movement of both halved outer rings 11a. The protruding portion 17a and the recessed portion 17b are point-symmetric with respect to a center 20 of the positioning protrusion 14.

    摘要: A timing chain is looped over a driving sprocket attached to a crankshaft and driven sprockets attached to camshafts. A pivotable chain guide having a plurality of rotatable rollers for guiding movements of a timing chain is provided on one side of a slack side of the timing chain. Adjustment force of a chain tensioner is applied to a remote end of the pivotable chain guide remote from a center of pivoting movement of the pivotable chain guide, thereby pressing the plurality of rotatable rollers against the timing chain. The ratio (D1/D2) between a pitch circle diameter D1 of the driving sprocket and an outer diameter D2 of the plurality of rotatable rollers is determined within a range of 5/3 to 5/1.
