    摘要: A hollow rack shaft is manufactured through a first step, a second step and a third step. At the first step, the plate-like workpiece of substantial rectangular shape is press formed into a gutter-like shape. The first die set used at this step is provided with slant die surfaces for canceling elastic recovering generated at the workpiece when the workpiece is removed from the first die set. At the second step, a row of rack teeth is press-formed on the flat bottom portion of the workpiece formed in the first step. The die set used at the second step is provided with a recess for releasing surplus workpiece material within the die clearance at a stroke end of the pressworking. At the third step, each of a pair of legs of the workpiece is bent in a semi-circular shape so as to be butted to each other. At this time, a mandrel is inserted between the legs of the workpiece.

    摘要: A joining alloy of the invention is based on Co, Ni, or their alloy, and contains 1.0 to 2.3% by mass of C and 15.5 to 34.7% by mass of W. Using HIP, the joining alloy in the form of a casting or powders is integrated with a WC--Co or WC--Ni type cemented carbide via diffusion joining. Using HIP, it is also possible to obtain a composite material having an integral structure in which a cemented carbide and the joining alloy, and the joining alloy and steel are joined together via diffusion joining. The joining alloy may additionally contain up to 30% by mass of Fe, up to 3% by mass of Si and up to 3% by mass of Mn as well as up to 10% by mass of at least one selected from Cr, Mo, V, Nb, Ti, Zr, and Ta. It is thus possible to obtain a joining alloy having an improved joining strength without producing a brittle phase therein even upon joined to the WC--Co or WC--Ni type cemented carbide, and its composite material.

    摘要: A production process of a yoke a for universal joint using a flat metal sheet to make a yoke for universal joint comprising a base for engaging with an end of a rotary shaft and fixing the end, a pair of arms having respective surfaces opposite to each other and extending in the axial direction of the base from opposite positions in the diameter direction and on one axial edge of the base, and press-worked circular holes coaxial with each other, formed in associated tip portions of said respective arms, wherein in portions of said flat metal sheet to become said respective circular holes, prepared holes having an inner diameter sufficiently smaller than an inner diameter of the circular holes are punched by press working, thereafter the flat metal sheet is curved to form said base and the pair of arms, then rough machining is carried out to punch the portions of the prepared holes in a nearly circular shape by press working, and thereafter press working is carried out to shave an inner peripheral edge of each hole by a small shaving amount, thereby forming the press-worked circular holes.

    摘要: A scroll compressor having a driving shaft 6, on which a bushing 10 and a balancing weight 9 are supported. The drive shaft 6 includes, at its end, a drive projection 6a, which is engaged with a driven groove 10a formed in the bushing 10. A spring 20 is arranged between the drive projection 6a and the bushing 10 for urging the latter radially inwardly to reduce the radius of the orbital movement of the bushing 10. A centrifugal force generated in the bushing when the drive shaft 6 is rotated causes the bushing 10 to be moved radially outwardly to increasing the radius of the orbital movement of the bushing 10.

    摘要: A hollow steering shaft having a good quality can be manufactured at a low cost by passing a blank tube having a circular cross section through a preliminary shaping die and then through a finishing shaping die. The blank tube which has passed through the preliminary shaping die is formed with two kinds of convex curve surface portions having different radii of curvature and arranged continuously, circumferentially and alternately. When the blank tube passes through the finishing shaping die, the larger convex curve surface portions are deformed into flat portions. As a result, a steering shaft having an elliptical cross section is manufactured.
