    摘要: A magnetic head for perpendicular magnetic recording includes a pair of substrates consituted by a non-magnetic material and having their opposing surfaces respectively formed with heat-resistant polymer films. A thin magnetic film is retained between these substrates. Further, a non-magnetic intermediate film is interposed between the thin magnetic film and each of the polymer films. The intermediate film has a coefficient of thermal expansion which is close to that of the thin magnetic film. Accordingly, no internal stress is generated in the thin magnetic film which would otherwise be caused by thermal expansion and shrinkage in manufacture. Thus, it is possible for the magnetic head to possess sufficiently high wear resistance and excellent magnetic properties.

    摘要: A hard magnetic alloy in accordance with the present invention is composed of at least element T selected from the group consisting of Fe, Co and Ni, at least one rare earth element R, and boron (B). The hard magnetic alloy has an absolute value of the temperature coefficient of magnetization of 0.15%/° C. or less and a coercive force of 1 kOe, when being used in a shape causing a permeance factor of 2 or more. A hard magnetic alloy compact in accordance with the present invention has a texture, in which at least a part or all of the texture comprises an amorphous phase or fine crystalline phase having an average crystal grain size of 100 nm or less, is subjected to crystallization or grain growth under stress, such that a mixed phase composed of a soft magnetic or semi-hard magnetic phase and a hard magnetic phase is formed in the texture, and anisotropy is imparted to the crystal axis of the hard magnetic phase.

    摘要: In a stepping motor having a stator provided with an electromagnet and a rotor composed of a hard magnetic alloy, the hard magnetic alloy comprises at least one element T of Fe and Co, at least one element R of rare earth elements and B, has a remanence ratio of at least 0.7, remanent magnetization (Ir) of at least 120 emu/g and coercive force (iHc) of at least 1 kOe and includes a fine crystalline phase having an average crystal grain size of 100 nm or less as a main phase. The hard magnetic alloy is solidified and compacted by making use of a softening phenomenon which arises when the amorphous phase contained in the structure of the hard magnetic alloy is crystallized. A method of manufacturing the hard magnetic alloy used to the stepping motor is also disclosed.

    摘要: A spherical projection portion for pivotally supporting a magnetic head is protrusively formed in a tongue piece formed in a flexure, and a non-contact portion with the slider are formed on both sides of the projection portion. The backward portion with the projection portion and the non-contact portion as a boundary is formed into a bonding portion. A bonding agent between the bonding portion and the slider is prevented from flowing toward a magnetic conversion element by the projection portion and the non-contact portion. Since the bonding agent is not present in the vicinity of the magnetic conversion element, the magnetic conversion element is not deformed due to the expansion and contraction of the hardened bonding agent. Also, since the bonding area is formed into an appropriate dimension, the protuberance dimension of a crown of the slider is not varied.

    摘要: Magnetoresistive effect elements are provided with an element unit having an elongated shape in which an element length L1 is formed to be longer than an element width W1. The element unit has a fixed magnetic layer and a free magnetic layer laminated via a non-magnetic layer on the fixed magnetic layer. A magnetism direction of the fixed magnetic layer faces an element width direction (Y direction) of a sensitivity axis direction. First soft magnetic bodies formed to have a width size W2 and a length size L2 are arranged in a non-contact manner on both lateral sides of the magnetoresistive effect element. The length size L2 is longer than the element length L1, and the first soft magnetic body has an extension part extending in an element length direction from both sides in the element length direction of the element unit.
